Just days until the Boston Marathon.
My first time there was near freezing with some sprinkles.
Another year it was hot as Hell.
One year it snowed before, one year the day after.
Weather is a coin toss.

This is a difficult course, not flat and fast like Chicago, Paris, London, etc.
There are no pacers like in most major Marathons, it is a real race, not a time trial.
I think it is the best race in the World.

Get on a bus before the Sun comes up and ride to the start.
Hang out for hours in the cold, heat, rain -- who knows? for a few hours.
The gun firing is relief.

In the day you needed a sub 2:50 time for a ticket, now anyone can go.
