Had Doug Flutie’s Hail Mary pass failed to be completed, would anyone know of Doug Flutie or Boston College?

I think that one singular play may have been one of the most impactful plays off all time.

The old Big East was a great football conference until Swoffie convinced some of their members to drink the ACC kool-aid. I wish the old Big East had the foresight back then to bring FSU, GT, Clemson, UNC or NCState into their conference as a southern division to add with WVU, VT and Miami before the ACC struck first.
