Big Ugly Freshmen

If i'm not mistaken all 4 of our OL freshmen will enroll early. I would say the early enroll process worked great for DW, AS, and maybe a few others. What type of impact do you think it will have on our OL next season to have these guys already in the system before summer. Who of the 4 do you think will compete for a starting position by game 1? Who will RS?
I think at least 2 of the freshmen will be at least in the 2 deep rotation. More than likely Hyatt and maybe Fruhmorgen. I think Green could be good too. I think Green held his own during workouts last summer.

You know the difference between SCar cheerleaders and Bigfoot?

One is big, hairy, and smells bad ... the other has big feet.

All of you that think our incoming offensive linemen will have an instant impact are mistaken. It takes a long time to develop them. Out of our 14 scholarship O-linemen, only Battle avoided a redshirt. If Battle bolts for the NFL, I could see one of the two tackles getting some playing time, but that's about it.
FWIW, I think Fruhmorgen is under valued. Maybe he wasn't as far along as Hyatt his junior year, but he might have more potential.

I wish this werent the case, but O-Line is probably the toughest position to learn and transition from HS to College speed and size.
IF we do see any of these guys starting, its because they are Freaks!

I agree its a long shot for any of them to start as a true freshmen, however they are early enrollees and Alabama's starting LT is a true freshman I believe. So yea if they are freaks which I think Hyatt could be then I could see it happening. Not always the case so realistically I could see 3 RS

Cam Robinson is similar in the sense that he was a 5* recruit, the top overall offensive lineman of his class, and an early enrolee. He's just 50 lbs heavier.

Fruhmorgen...is definitely under valued. Well I don't know about undervalued, he is ranked as top 7 tackle in Nation. He is close to 290 and looks skinny and has great technique ..watch film. Hyatt has great feet as well but weighs only 260 to 275.lbs But has a nasty streak about him. Hyatt and Fruhmorgen definitely play better competition than Noah and Giellia..
Noah is going to probably be moved to inside and red shirted. and Giellia.. concern is his high school.competition?? 2A..Christian football? Big body but needs improvement on feet.

Green didn't participate in the summer camps, it was Fruhmorgen and he put a show on during one on ones pass protection going against the defensive line.

It is crazy exciting to have a big Oline class coming in for once. This should by far be the highest rated Oline recruit class we've brought in at Clemson. As far as next year, I could see Hyatt getting some playing time for sure. Shouldn't be significant time unless some injuries knock some guys out, but considered his very high rating and his competition in high school, i bet he will get some time. I believe i've heard he has blocked Robert Nekmdiche(SPL?) and big lorenzo carter that played well for UGA this year. I'm hoping we don't have to use him, but if he comes in i've got confidence. Excited to see where the recruiting class take us. We have a great blend of effort, skill and size coming to the up-state in 2015!!
