Steinman wrote the lyrics to pretty much every Meat Loaf song you've ever heard. He also wrote "Holding Out for a Hero", "Total Eclipse of the Heart", and "It's All Coming Back to Me Now".

I hope I didn’t come across as a know it all. Mis-attributing the lyrics to REO Speedwagon is an easy mistake. I go through this all the time when people want to say that (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction is a Rolling Stones song when it really is a Devo song. These big bands cover stuff and all of a sudden the whole world thinks they wrote a huge hit.

He was awesome, great singer, fantastic stage presence, and a good actor.
Bat out of Hell is an all time great album, one of my favorites. “Crying out Loud” is his magnum opus IMO….truly an artistic/musical masterpiece
