I know some hate alcohol, and I agree it is poison the world could do without.

I have been in many sports venues with sales and saw nothing different from what goes on at Clemson football games.

Fun examples:

-- I was down with a UNCC professor to see the Panthers who played their first season here.
We were in chairs in the back of my truck parked in front of the McFadden Building.
Some guys walking by asked if drinking beer was allowed, I replied that it was expected. They returned back to their car.

-- I was an usher (Pershing Rifles) at games in '64. Back then all folks dressed to the 9's and all brought in a pint. You could get high from the smell just walking the steps.

-- Before terrorist arrived (9/11) thousands (and me) would race to their cars at halftime for ???

Drunks can be boring, dangerous, and not what us genteel folks want around us.
I have locked up more drunks than anyone on this board as in the day it was illegal to be drunk in public, that changed in the 80s.

Not all who have a beer or three at a game will be any problem at all. It might even mean less drunks will bring in a pint of 90proof.

Not only Syracuse. 117 of the 133 D1 FBS schools sell beer in stadium.
