Bananaball rules for Death Valley

I've heard speculation, but nothing specific - just curious what the rules are for the crazy short left-field and the nearly infinite right field that Death Valley presents when trying to play a baseball game there. I've heard that if a ball is caught off of the net in left it's an out, which could make sense, but with Bananaball - everything is up for discussion! And what of the 300+ft right field? I guess in-the-park home runs would be the thing there?

Any other rules/changes unique to playing in a football stadium like The Valley?

Probably allowed 4 right fielders or something similar.

Strict two hour game time limit, bunting is an automatic out. Automatic strike if you leave batters box, one golden player substitution per game. Also, a foul fly out ball caught by fan is an out! Usually that fan is bought onto field by the bananas players for a celebration!

I played for an Italian baseball team while stationed in Sicily. Our own home field was specifically designed as a baseball field but just about every road game was in some old community soccer stadium. Hey, baseball isn’t their national sport.

The left field line was ridiculously long, centerfield was impossible and the right field line was a joke. You could put up temporary fencing in left and center but there was no extending right field unless you rebuilt a concrete wall. They would mount a red flag atop the wall between center and right, if it left the field right of that flag it was a ground rule double.

In HS, we had to play a school that had one crazy field like that...a pig pen fence was in right field about 300' and a house was out in centerfield and they used a clothesline to mark where a "fence" would be to count as a HR, but in left there was no fence at all. There was a giant oak tree out there about 350', so if you hit the ball on the ground, it was 'all you could get'. However, if you mashed one in the air and it landed in the tree, it was a ground rule double?! Welcome to Fannin County, Georgia circa 1980.

300+ right field lines are the norm in pro stadiums so down the line won't be that drastic of a difference. Right center towards where the band sits would be the deepest part so a line drive there would probably merit an inside-the-park attempt, kind of like shots to center in the old Polo Grounds. Greenville Online lists the dimensions as 330 down the right field line and 363 to right-center. Ebbetts Field originally went over 400 to left and 450 to center, so it's precedented, even if in "normal" baseball and not Bananaball. I'm sure they'll be creative with some stuff and make it fun to watch though, probably with similar rules to the game they played in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Just have to remember to look at it through the lens of entertainment and not "serious" baseball.

I know if a fan catches a ball in the air, it's an out.***

Will the goal post in right field (the one in front of the hill) still be up? Should be a bonus of some sort of a ball is hit between the uprights.

Does it really matter? It's just a show.

They kind of make the rules as the game continues which makes it intriguing and humorous.
