As my age-related dementia fights my once vivid memory

I am noticing more and more that I can not instantly recall a word or name but usually it comes to me eventually which gives me a partial feeling of relief.

Today, for instance, I wanted to post that it was fun to throw a frisbee on that great historical piece of land in front of Tillman/Main and Military Plaza (where our first football club played with actual students and no NIL or transfers)..And I still cannot remember it.

WAIT!!!! you won’t believe it but it came to me during the last few words in the above sentence!! Whoopee!

It’s BOWMAN as in Bowman Field.

Will say something about that beautiful “Central Park” like vacant land...if any developer gets the Clemson Administration or BOT to sell them that sacred spot for a dang fast food location..

I “will” Forget my memory of being law-abiding and protest & picket til death..

Unless it is sold to a RV park developer who will install dumps, water hook-ups and cable..and where this RV’er can get to town, to DV or The Esso Club in short order..or be front center when Game Day should visit again (hint to ESPN: LSU at Tigertown this fall).

LOL and Go You Hairy TiGERS!

It was a shame we named Bowman for that good running back who only stayed for a few games before transferring. ( Its a joke people)

Now that we are rolling back all the DEI/woke nonsense, will we be able to re-re-name that old main building Tillman Hall?

I doubt many people ever stopped call it Tillman Hall.

I’m still ticked they named the WestZone after Coach Tommy West.

I can assure you it is not dementia! I have the same condition at a similar age bracket. It is simply that we have accumulated so much knowledge and trivia that it takes our micro- processor a bit more time to conjure up the information. Younger minds, while quicker, do not hold the plethora of information that we have. Plus our education from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s was superior to today’s education in that we had to analyze, fact find, find the root problem, deduce, and solve. Today’s students are inept in those regards. And don’t get me started on all of the writing, grammar, and reading we had to do vs today’s every body gets a trophy mentality. We survived on merit alone. Only the best made it to the Honor Society.
Go older Tigers!

I remember walking to Cooper to study and during the walk seeing frisbee teams competing. Frustrated bc I could NOT just drop my backpack and jump in BUT instead SMH just looked down and try not to focus on it.

Thank you for the memory. LOL

Go Tigers!

Which added insult to the injury, knowing I wasted a week trying to remember something that has no bearing on anything at all.
