remaining to root for this season.......the Texas Longhorns. Sure, they whacked us, but I cannot hold my nose tight enough to block the stench of Penn State, Ohio State, or Nostradamus.......can't do it. Gotta go with the Horns this time. No Yankees for me. Hook em!

Thats why I want ND to win, anything against BIG or SEC that doesnt give them more ammo. Only way is to have ND win at this point. I was pulling for ASU until they lost even though they are a bunch of Wokies boiling over from Cali.

I'm okay with it. More like a Big XII coming into the SEC and stealing their limelight as the prior powers couldn't muster it on their own. Similar to Missouri winning the SEC Least their first year over from the Big XII. Weird how the biggest and baddest conference keeps getting one-upped by new additions from supposedly weaker leagues. It just means more?

But that doesn’t mean you can make stuff up. Sure, Texas won the conference this year but going back to 2011 ; UGA, Alabama, LSU, Auburn have won the conference.

Not sure of your point other than a team one year into the SEC fresh from the Big XII is the only one with the muster to make it to the Semis. Missouri never won the league title but they did win their division over traditional powers UGA, Florida, and TN their first year from the Big XII also.

Sure Georgia actually won the conference this year and now have 3 losses. One to a team that lost to Northern Illinois.

As I've mentioned elsewhere in these threads this year, my gf is a Longhorns fan, which makes me sort of a Longhorns fan. I don't think they can win it all, but I'll be pulling for them. They haven't been cocky, they're barely in the SEC (most of the SEC refuses to acknowledge them and the refs don't seem to favor them at all) and that's the team that beat us. I'd rather lose to the eventual NC vs losing to the team that lost to the NC..
As my gf would say, "we're not southerners, we're Texans" - they have huge state pride and consider themselves their own regional group - which I guess I can see. But they're not the B1G, pretentious ND or any of that. They're scrappy, they're underdogs, and I like the redemption story for Sark. I don't like Quinn Ewers and wish they'd make the switch to Arch, but he'll get his time eventually.
Either way, living in Charleston - everyone here now is from the midwest. I know more OSU, PSU and ND fans than I can count.. I only know a couple Longhorns and they're all cool. So they get my vote too.
Anyway, not trying to sway anyone - but for a thousand reasons, I'll be pulling for them over the other 3 options..

Speaking only for myself, I'd like to see the team that beat Clemson win it all. And more to the point, we didn't play all that badly against Texas...it was the run defense that let us down.

late had we not been called for that blind side block. That was a huge call.. then calling those two stuffed runs on the 2 yard line was the nail in the coffin. If we had any pulse in playcalling those two gifted plays then who knows what that score would've been. Momentum was building and those plays would have blown it open.
Question is..Could we have stopped Skattebo? Would've like to have tried.

Although, I'd enjoy watching a team from the Big XII win it all.
And let's be honest, this is Texas's 1st year in the SEC so they're essentially winning with Big XII players and coaches.
