loved the #### thing. Never really understood why except I guess it was cheaper to buy the meat intact and then slice it yourself?
But he used to talk about it like it was the holy grail.
Still miss him.

someone’s cat. Got locked out of the apartment so used the slicer to cut deli meat real thin to slide under the door to feed the cat.

bacon, and my buddy and I split the cost on the Cabela's slicer. I make about 5 pounds at a time. I start it on Sunday afternoon with the marinating for 3 days, then smoke it, back into the fridge for a night, and then finally slice it up to share between us.
He just texted me that he was out of bacon. I have bought some regular bacon from the store in the meantime, but he and his wife like this stuff so much, it's all they want to eat now, bacon-wise.
