Abducted in Plain Sight - My synopsis of a Netflix Documntry

Out in Utah back in the 70's two Mormon families lived next to each other: The Brobergs and the Berchtolds.

The families were close. Bob Berchtold was especially fond of Jan Broberg, who was a pre-teen. The Brobergs had no issue with Bob Berchtold spending WAY too much time with their daughter, even sleeping in her bed from time to time. They thought it was all innocent.

Also, Bob Berchtold talks Mr. Broberg into giving him a handjob since his wife won't sex him and he "needs release".

Also, Bob Berchtold is banging Mrs. Broberg on the side. He's banging his way through this whole family...

Bob Berchtold takes Jan to go ride horses one day and actually takes her down to Mexico and marries her (she's 12). He tells her that two aliens will destroy the Earth if she doesn't have sex with him and that if she tells anybody, bad stuff will happen. She's gone for weeks before the family does anything about it. The FBI gets involved and brings them home. The Brobergs drop the charges because Bob Berchtold threatens to go public with his handjob event.

The dude keeps banging young Jan under her parents roof off an on and also keeps banging the mom... all with the dad's knowledge.

Then Bob kidnaps Jan again and enrolls her in a Catholic girls school in California. She is gone for months and months and the parents finally call the FBI again.

It was crazy.

The dude only spent a few months, I think, in jail for all of this rape and kidnapping.

Jan, who is now in her 50's is pretty dang hot (IMHO).

It's worth watching.
