What’s really happened

We had all world QBs since Deshaun. We recruited at a high level because people want to play with star players and win. Which we did. We made hires from within and everybody and their brother got a job and it wasn’t a big deal because we were on top. Now, there’s a talent gap and we have to rely more on coaching as opposed to talent alone and it’s glaring. It has caught up with us. We have to be able to adapt and we just can’t in big games this year. No it’s not all DJ but there is a drop in QB talent so we have to figure out other ways. No sense in what happened today. I get these boys aren’t machines, but we definitely were a better team and had chances to win.

5 star recruits now are going to programs with money and exposure. Clemson may get exposure but the money is not all there compared to others who are willing to dish it all out. Thanks NIL.

We lost Venables. That was a big attraction for recruits on the defensive side of things. Nobody is breaking the door down to play for Wes or Streeter. Its just that simple. They're going to have to seriously earn that if they're going to remain at Clemson.

Deshaun and Trevor were beyond special, and that kind of QB play is not reality year in and year out. It happened with Auburn and Cam, and FSU/Crab Legs, Florida/Tebow. We just got two absolute studs in a row. Dabo has to figure out how to dominate teams without the best QB every time.
