It should not have to...everyone knows that Dabo can recruit and train a team to beat the greatest ever fielded...how do you alter the narrative unless you are paid SEC hacks who said Bama would beat Clemson by 50...greatest ever to play, two all American QB's, two all a American RB's and got their fracasses handed to them on a platter!..Findbum was admitted to the Memphis Psychiatric Hospital to have his brainwashed! ( soft cloth a little water and some Dawn, just like oily ducks) The ESPN crew all went to Southbeach for therapy! They are all still scared of Dabo...that's why they all jump at the portal and NIL..counter Dabo culture!

That 2018 game is getting further into the rear view mirror. Most college students didn't even have drivers licenses when that game was played. Also NIL and the transfer portal were just dreams at that time. Now it's a reality and we are paying the price by acting like it's still 2018

Whatever “price” we are paying, at least we aren’t assembling a non-cohesive band of mercenaries every season like FSU and Colorado. Championship runs like ours are rare for even the Alabamas and Georgias of the world. How long did it take Michigan to finally realize its potential? When will OSU win it all? When will Florida, Tennessee or Oklahoma return to prominence? How long did LSU last? This season should be substantially better than last, but that may just mean 11-1 and a trip to Charlotte. I’ve been a fan for over 50 years, so I’m thankful for recent success, blessed to watch Dabo do his thing, and I won’t get greedy with expectations.

That GA pick six against Clemson wasn't the turning point. If you watched the game, UGA pretty much dominated Clemson the whole game and Tiger fans could tell GA was going to win that game early on. The declne in Clemson offense had turned before that game.

I was in the stands watching his execution, and I just said out loud that Clemson cannot win this game.
Now, I was shocked that the Clemson defense held the Dawgs to a field goal, but the entire game still felt like Georgia was in total control.

Both defenses were dominant in that game and that drive was into UGA territory after a muffed punt by UGA so the momentum was on our side right before that play. That said, UGA only scored 3 more after that. You are right that DJ was who he was/is and our Oline was not good either.

UGA is better than us at every position. Their depth may not be as good as it's been due to the portal, but they are still stacked. They are also a better coached team. I hate Kirby and his shady antics, but he expects perfection and demands it at practice. It shows in the games.
I still don't see how this team is any better than they were last year. We still have Cade. We have no go to WR. OLine isn't proven. Defensive talent is as good as it's been. If Cade hasn't developed any further it's going to be a long season.

Georgia definitely isn't perfect, and I doubt they are better at every position. These teams go head to head 20 times, Clemson probably wins 3-6 games. Maybe there are some blowouts in there, but there are some close ones too. I'm gonna watch, because despite odds I just gave, I'm a fan, and I expect Clemson to win. Waited too long to go into the season expecting to get crushed.

Do you realize how bad 3-6 wins in 20 is? That's a win % of .150-.300. Just for reference, we have dominated the Chickens and their win % is .353.

On the high side, it represents a 30% winning percentage against the #1 team in the country, winner of 2 of the last 3 national championships. I'd say that'd be pretty respectable . . . comparisons to the chickens kind of irrelevant

The talk in the locker room this week should be if Georgia Tech did it, we can too. To win in football, you have to want it more than your opponent.

The last Clemson-Georgia game has been long over. After all the pre talk, forecasts, predicting what is going to happen in this game it’s all just a guess. When the kickoff begins it’s just eleven on eleven, man on man, who executes better, who wants it the most. Spot the ball and let’s GO TIGERS.

I've looked in the shops in downtown Clemson but haven't been able to find it yet.

If the narrative after the game is these were two titans going at it and "pundits " say they fully expect both to be in the playoffs, then I can live with the results...
Certainly nothing would make me happier than a complete beat down, or a 1 pt win. I'll be disappointed if we lose. But if we're competitive to where the narrative says these two teams are great - like the Bama/uga game. That's a win, because we most likely go undefeated and 11-1.

Coach Bakich said their players "were playing with house money." He meant they were loose, playing to have fun and fearless because they had nothing to lose. We need to do that versus the 'Dawgs. No one not wearing orange believes we have a chance, so go out and slay Goliath.

One game doesn't change the narative...but another season winning less than 10 games does.
