Tyson vs. Paul - who's your money on?

This isn't a football post, but I didn't expect to see Mike Tyson boxing in 2024 either. Can't deny the matchup is intriguing and should be fun to watch. I'm hoping Tyson shows he still has some gas in the tank with a knock out in the first 3 rounds. After 3-4 rounds I worry Paul's youth could be an advantage.

If it was a "real" boxing match, Tyson even at almost 60 years old would win, there's no telling what will happen at this event.

Yeah this thing completely stinks of being rigged since the very beginning.
I say they'll draw.

I am about as interested in this as if it was our backup qb Tyson against Paul F of SEC fame.

Pure money grab, nothing much to it other than that

Nobody will sanction a real boxing match with a nearly 60 year old competitor against a mid 20's social media influencer or whatever the heck Jake Paul is....
Jake smells money. Tyson is a good opportunity to make as much as possible because people really like nostalgia and Iron Mike was a force in the late 80's.
I think Mike is a wildcard though, he may decide to go his own way and really fight this kid...if so it really could get ugly and nasty...I am guessing that would also be good for the bottom line, some controversy and having all of social media and sports outlets talking about this ridiculous fight that should not be happening....but it is. Isn't life great LOL

Regular gloves, Mike would knock him out early easily but with the big gloves, it will take longer and Mike will wear down.

They won’t?! How did George Foreman win the heavyweight title at 46?! That’s not nearly 60 but I’m sure Foreman could have fought sanctioned matches as long as he wanted to. 46 is pretty darn old. If I’m not mistaken two other over 40 won the heavyweight title.

Who knows. It seems like pro wrestling to me. Did you see the weigh in where Mike slapped Jake? Just seems like a publicity stunt. I like Mike to win though

Yes, saw the weigh in, Paul stepped on Mikes toes, Tyson was wearing socks, Paul had on shoes. I hope Tyson wins, not a fan of Paul's showboating. Is it a money grab, yes, but entertaining on a Friday night without much else to watch, also yes.

I'm watching for the pure entertainment factor. Plus it's on Netflix and not traditional pay-per-view. The nostalgia of Tyson will bring viewers, I hope it's the kind of excitement and outcome of Tiger's last Master's win.

I don’t even care about “real” boxing anymore… much less this exhibition crap.

Nobody, it’s fixed. WWE for boxing.
I’ll still tune in for Terrence Crawford. He can brawl. he can box and he’s mean as a snake. Watched him carry a guy several years ago, just to beat him up more over half a dozen extra rounds, cuz the guy trash talked him prior to the fight.

If Tyson doesn’t knock chicken head out before the 3rd round he will loose . Chicken head conditioning will control the fight after that and wear Tyson down .

Expect this will be a draw and that both guys will be there to sell and not to win. However, Paul says, after this fight, he wants Canelo Alvarez. Really hope this happens because that is where the hype train stops for Jake. Even in his mid thirties, Canelo will obliterate that dude in a sanctioned fight.

Saw a review about PPV payout purse with Paul getting $40,000,000 and Tyson getting around $35M.
I don't know but one of the 2 needs to kick the other guys #### for that money..

Not a better. Not even the lottery. Maybe they both knock each other out and disappear forever. Tyson. One punch. Brain damage. Fight over.
