I would tend to agree, but discuss unfair with someone like Coach Tuberville and Auburn in 2004. They went undefeated and got passed over for National Championship!
Clemson really needs no losses to make the playoffs and I believe our youth will mean one loss during an otherwise fine season. 2016 will be tough with Auburn, FSU and Ga. Tech away, however we are due wins in each series on the road.
Go Tigers!

I would say Notre Dame. The ACC is not seen as an equal to the other power 5 conferences, so it would take only losing to a team that was undefeated or only had one loss themselves.
I choose ND not because I think that ND will win, but because it is the most likely scenario in which a 1 loss Clemson team would still make it to the playoff. I don't think that losing to South Carolina at the end of the year would sit well with the committee (they are less likely to be undefeated or one loss at that time). Possibly a Louisville loss on the road on a Thursday night would be another scenario that would work. I think Louisville would have to fair better than last years' VT team, because we are not viewed the same as Ohio State and would not be shoved into that #4 spot.

I totally agree. Television will not allow there to be a playoff without the heisman winner in it if that player is the qb of a power 5 conference champion with one loss and a schedule as difficult as ours.

are placed long before the actual award presentation takes place in new york city, new york.
you know the heisman club[downtown not uptown] receives HUGH charitable donations from the network(s) to help support their HUGH charitable balls & gala events and in exchange the heisman club lets slip the winner so the network(s) can ensure through HUGH charitable donations of their own that the heisman winner is showcased during the 3 game playoff.
really, it's simple maff.

Do you think they've already decided who wins?
Aug 31, 2015, 8:47 AM

That way the winner can be hyped big time all season, pulling in HUGH game week ratings for the networks and HUGH advertising revenues. Is that why Clemson is the first good team to be on that new ESPN thingy? Did they decide they can't have the guy who's already been declared the Heisman winner playing just on crappy ESPiN3?

the manner that we beat our opponents as well. Beating Louisville, and State, etc by a field goal or touchdown isn't going to solidify anything.
So excited to watch them play this weekend, and hopefully take care of each opponent, ONE AT A TIME!!!!

depends on who you lose to and when you lose to them. If you drop a game early you might can sneak in but not if there are a bunch of undefeated teams out there or several better 1 loss teams. It usually works itself out with only one team or so getting the shaft. Last year was a perfect example but there were a couple of very good 1 loss teams left out.
