Understanding college sports

Read earlier let’s get a firmer student-athlete who runs a gym to be the strength coach. Suggested as a defensive coordinator. When GM candidates (if Clemson went that way) were floated - the recommendations were naive. The training to be a strength coach is demanding and takes years. Liability in that position alone is out the roof and lifelong. A college position coach? Whew.

You are correct. If we are looking at getting a new Strength and Conditioning Coach, this is as important as getting a good DC.
Need to cut down on injuries
Need to get stronger
Need to work on explosiveness
Need to get leaner. Big is great, but not if you’re sloppy.
