Yep, probably gonna get some hate on this but WE learned that during Covid when Coach said Ohio State didn't deserve to be in playoffs - While we all probably agreed with him. That apparently was the locker room material they needed to take us out.

...at most only 2, and then later 4 teams, could play for the national championship. I recall periodically thinking only 1-2 at the most got snubbed and sometimes believed no one was being left out.
Now 12 teams will get the chance. Any team that falls into the #13 and higher spot has no one to blame but themselves for not getting in and really have no business to complain. If you're even spots 10-12, you aren't close to being the best team in college football... just be grateful for you get a chance.

The problem with SEC is it’s a stacked conference. They did it to themselves. Just because you decide to go out and financial rade other conferences for the most successful programs and join them all together doesn’t mean you have a right to own the top 10-15 slots. If that’s the case take your conference form the NCAA - 2A league and play for your own NC .

That's what Lame Kitten is talking about. Beaten by Florida a week before season's end? The POC was kind to not drop them and Bama into the mid 20s of their rankings.
That punk is talking about Clemson beating teams with sub 500 W/L ratio while Florida and Oklahoma are both 6-5. The two teams he's whining about belonging just got beaten by 6-5 teams.

He actually makes a good point. QB had a horrible game against Florida. Florida isn't the same team as the beginning of the season. UF is very comparable to what our season was last year. They're a different team with lagway and ole miss still had plenty of chances to win.

He does make a good point. He makes an unprovable point. If Bana and Ole Miss were any good they would not have lost more than one game. They had great wins against Georgia and good wins against South Carolina. They both lost three games which included losses to mediocre at best teams like Florida, Vandy, Oklahoma, LSU and Kentucky.

Just looked at Ole Miss 2024 schedule. Feel pretty confident we'd still be at least 9-2 if we traded schedules. Garbage OOC slate. Is the SEC a stronger league? Of course. But Ole Miss didn't have it too tough this year. Huge missed opportunity for them, but not a surprise given their leadership.

The reality is that we are back in the pack in the ACC. It is reflected in our record, in the struggles we have to win league games, and in our loss of recruitments. The air is slowly coming out of the balloon. The fans see it, the recruits see it, and the brand is slowly being altered. Our aspirations are diminished, and we are becoming accustomed to being one among many rather than the one at the top. This trend will continue as the reputation further tarnishes. Things won't change until we have lots of NIL money and the portal. In other words, as long as Dabo is the coach, our future is in the past. He'll get the best out of what we've got, but that won't be good enough to get to the top of the mountain.

Don't tell me that losing to Kentucky is part of a tough road because they're in the SEC, but that the sub .500 teams in the ACC are evidence of it's suckage.
Look, sure, the SEC is better overall. But it's overblown - the general truth is taken as a universal, and so you end up with everything being reduced to what it's like "in the SEC," as if that's a static truth of any team at any time. You play your schedule, and that's it. You don't play the whole SEC, or the reputation or nebulous pedigree of the SEC. You don't play the SEC' past accomplishments or list of past champions ... you play your schedule, and that's it. So shut up about the generalized narrative bullcrap.

I decided to play a little game here. I've seen the headline "SEC head coach," but I haven't actually opened the article yet to see who it is. I'm gonna see if I can guess. After some thought, I'm gonna go with Lane Kiffin as my best guess, Eliah Drinkwitz as my second guess, and Brian Kelly as my last guess. I also thought hard about throwing Kalen DeBoer in there based on his team's position in the standings. I could totally see Kirby doing it, but the reason I'm not including him is because I wouldn't think he would have any reason to at this point given that Georgia's 1st in the conference. I wouldn't put it past Shane to make a comment like that either, but I'm guessing it's not him either because he's usually been smart enough to keep the talk at a minimum and respectful regarding Clemson, especially with the game coming up. Let's see how I did...

Texas A&M
South Carolina
Alabama
Missouri
Ole Miss
Heck, throw LSU in there. Throw Florida in there. Vanderbilt lost to Texas by a field goal. I don’t even know why we’re still debating this topic. The SEC is a #### nightmare. We all know it. So why pretend as if he told a single lie?
Tasteless comment? Sure. But that’s Lane Kiffin. But our 2024 Tigers would be lucky to have 4 wins playing Georgia’s schedule. It might be hard to swallow for some of us but his point is hardly unreasonable.

Well stated. A forty year fan and I agree. Clemson is not what they were a few years ago. The quicker the coaches and fans actually acknowledge that, hopefully the quicker it turns around.

His argument is wrong on so many levels. There is no way to prove his argument so it is an appeal to emotion. Secondly, SEC teams only play 8 conference games. Most importantly, both Bama and Ole Miss have three losses. He does not not want to face reality that he and his team can’t get over the hump in even a 12 team playoff. They lose two games and they were a shoo-in. Enjoy the Outback Bowl Lane.

Where's he wrong? Clemson does play a high school schedule. The only way I would let an ACC team into the playoffs is when the conference and undefeated. That's the fair thing to do.

I would bet Clemson, this year, would a 6-5 maybe even 5-6 team playing in SEC if we prepared like we've prepared this season with roster management but we could absolutely hang in the SEC as a perennial SEC team bc no doubt Dabo would change his ways to make sure we win and win big.

Lane your Ole Miss and Alabama come to Death Valley both get beat. My Tigers aren’t afraid. Yes you and Alabama got big wins over UGA that beat Clemson but couple losses each to unranked teams. UGA first team in SEC title game. God Willing TAMU to follow. Dont blame new 12 team system blame SEC expansion.

It's not like their schedule has been that tough. In my opinion, even with the head to head loss South Carolina has been more impressive than Ole Miss. Now I have to wash the vomit out of my mouth after giving Carolina a compliment

I loved last night everyone is always talking about how weak the ACC is and kitten runs his mouth but he barely made it past a 2-9 ms state team and Georgia took 8ot to get past GT that was a great game to watch i believe in my tigers 🐅 but SC is going to be hard to control with as many as we have out.
