Ty Dye

Mar 10, 2016, 10:04 AM

Anyone heard anything specific on how well Ty Dye is performing? Other than the stuff thats on Tnets articles? Really hoping this is a break out year for this kid

I think that this is a case where the injuries have hampered his true potential . Huge skill set but overshadowed by the injuries . I figure him to rank almost dead last on the depth chart tbh . Cj Fuller is really coming along , Gallman is well... Gallman . Adam choice is finally starting to click again and I expect him to have a HUGE (Donald Trump style) impact this year . I truly believe that he is our best true rb but that Acl tear set him back. My hope for Dye is that he gives valuable reps so that we can possibly rs Feaster ( which I don't see happening )

So much promise and everyone wants to see him get significant touches...but it never happens.

Idk why everyone has always been on his jock. I like the kid but he is not all that obviously. He will be 4th on the DC he might have a breakout game against Troy or SC ST

Back injuries and achillies injuries make it difficult to

strengthen your body, and your lower body especially, like you need to. Now that he is over his injuries and can hit the weights hard, I would look for him to regain some of his explosiveness that was lost to injury.

The ACL injuries of today imo. Very tough to overcome. I was always able to overcome any injury I suffered until the one that required a double lumbar fusion. Ugh that one can change a man forever.

I fully expect 1 of 2 outcomes for Dye

Mar 10, 2016, 3:04 PM

1. He gets buried in the RB rotation behind Gallman, a healthy Adam Choice, CJ Fuller (who showed much more than Dye in limited action last season), and Tavien Feaster

2. He transfers out to a smaller Power 5 team, or a Group-of-5 team (Georgia St. or Georgia Southern would make the most sense here)

I hate it for Dye, but injuries have really prevented his development and have held him back from reaching his high 4-star potential. I really hope he proves himself here, and if not, i'll continue to be one of his biggest fans.
