But Goodwin really needs to go after this season. His D could not get pressure and played scared all night. Except for the first quarter. Guys were out of position constantly, there were almost no blitzes, and they squandered a 17-pt 4th quarter lead. We deserved to lose this game, but we got lucky on the last 3 plays. Garrett also continues to disappoint. Again, except for the first quarter, his offense was boring, they continued to test the edges of the SMU D, when they should have been punching it down their throats. Why does he always go ultra-conservative after getting a lead? It nearly cost us the game! I hope all our coaches and coordinators think very deeply about this season and this game, and use it as an opportunity to grow, adapt, and make some much needed changes. Super happy we won, but the same issues that have plagued us for years continue to rear their ugly heads and I don’t see much in the way of improvement or growth. Go Tigers! On to the CFP! Let’s make some noise!

If the problems have plagued us for years but our coordinators have only been on the job 2-3 seasons, you can't blame them.
It's not a bug. It's a feature. And he's won 9 ACC titles this way.

Dude you are spot on. It's dabos coaching philosophy. Get a lead and sit on it. I hate it. We almost blew pitt, we did blow s carolina, and almost tonight. Honestly it's been no different since the Watson and Lawrence days. We just had better defense then

Agree 100%. Goodwin needs to go! Clemson is so uneven and it’s largely on the defense… Just rewatch the 4th qtr to see that…. But hey a “W” is a “W”! Best thing about the win… ok second best thing, the Lamecocks are sitting home watching the Tigers in the playoffs! GO TIGERS!
