I believe that we can beat Texas, and I believe that Sammy Brown will play a big part of it. If cade gets hot with his intermediate passes, that will give the defense time to rest. If our defense is at full capacity, we can stop them from scoring.

As long as Riley doesn't take the foot off the gas and Wes doesn't go into prevent defense, cause we all know that prevents you from winning.

Absolutely right. Hammer down all game long. No let up or backing down. Go Tigers!

That means a pressure defense throughout every snap in the game except for 3rd and 2- and 4th and 2- situations. DBs jamming receivers and lots of man-coverage as long as Ewers is in there at QB. Only one safety playing deep.
Even late in the first half, pressure pressure pressure. Blitz at least one defender on every down, and an additional blitzer (with a delayed delayed blitz) utilizing a second defender on ~75% of the non-3rd & short and non-4th and short plays in the open fieldbetween the 20 yard lines.
Even with a big (21+ point) lead unless less than 2 minutes to go in the game (in which case, TX would have only three TO’s remaining to engineer three TDs to tie the score.
We just cannot have our defense be afraid to play to win. We might lose by giving up several big plays and blowing a big lead anyways and end up losing. That’s OK, because if we let off on the pressure then TX will carve us up and wear us out. We can’t go conservative on defense because we’re afraid of losing.
We’ll have a chance if we do that. Maybe not a great chance, but a better chance than if our defense plays it safe. If TX beats us despite an entire game of pressure defense, then congratulations to TX.

It's not an accident Brown has more tackles in far less reps

than other LB's and defenders. He's stronger, faster and sees the field better.

IMO, the single best display of raw athleticism … unmistakable primitive-man / categorically indisputable display of speed and strength … from our team the entire year was against S.Carolina.
L.Sellers had broken from container and was racing down the right sideline. One of our DBs was converging from the center of the field, but his angle was of dubious enough advantage to stop the much bigger and very fast Sellers. IMO, this would have been Seller’s easiest TD run if the day.
Sammy Brown had reached a position at the ~ 40 or ~45 yard line behind Sellers. Sellers had a ~5 yard head start on Sammy, and both had reached full linear speed level at the same time.
Son of a biscuit eater. Sammy ran Sellers down from behind, grabbed him like a bear trap, and dragged him to the ground within ~ 5 yards after initial contact. Sellers hit the ground at ~20 yard line.
Woodaz is great, but not fast enough to make up that kind of head start. Carter is as fast, but never would have brought Sellers down. Going back, Trotter was not fast enough to get Sellers. Nate Wiggins was fast enough, but would have been dragged a,ing until or unless a safety hammered Sellers to assist in the tackle at ~5 yard line. Neither Tyrone Simpson nor Babylon Spector had the speed to run down Sellers. The only Clemson defenders of recent years that might have been able to make such a solo tackle while staring from such a terrible starting point would be Isiah Simmons or Tanner Muse.
Incredible play and unbelievable display of raw athleticism by Sammy Brown.

The day of reckoning is here!!! no more talk, its time to put the big boy jocks on and see who has the talent and beef on the field to get the win!! As long as Dabo and Co. don't go out and try to play conservative, but turns the young offense loose and slings the ball around all day. But, its gonna come down to who lands the first few haymakers early.
I'm sure if anyone was watching IU last nite, the tone was set early of who had control of that game!! The IU Coach came out on College game day and made a statement that his Team could kick any ones AR$$ in the top 25. I'm sure Coach Freeman was playing that video to his boys before they hit the field.
The SMU game will be an interesting game to watch, if anyone watching the ACCN right now can see the snow on the field. SMU isn't used to seeing weather like this!! Tail gate Saturday is now in full swing. Lets go Tigers and get another win in that that nice 65 deg weather in TX!!

The article states that Woodaz is a future NFL linebacker. He’s been great for us at the college level but I’d be surprised if he ever plays a game in the NFL.

Why exactly do think Wade Woodaz won’t play in the NFL?

He runs very well, is very good in pass coverage, his cover skills are outstanding, he tackles well, and his recognition is superior. Oh yes, he also has incredible stamina.
Other that, he doesn’t have much to offer.
