Smith is a read option runner. From what i've seen he has good running skills but is a terrible passer. Seems to play right into our strengths, but I guess they figured the other option (Flutie) - with his inability to evade defenders - would get sacked half the time. Given their lack of options, I could see them trying a few trick plays.

against our defense I expected BC to play the Flutie kid. Jeff Smith is 9-30 for 86 yards. That's 30% and less than 3 YPA which are about as bad of stats as you will ever see for a D1 college QB. BC is going to be completely 1 dimensional with him in there.
