Why is beastiality so disgusting?

A great think piece by Tom Chivers, Science Editor of UnHerd. This should stimulate some good discussion today.
TLDR: You're being inconsistant if you're fine with killing and eating non-human animals while opposing sex with non-human animals.
I would like to propose a corollary: If you are fine with having sex with humans, you should have no issue killing and/or eating them.

beating your kids.
What a false equivalence.
####### non-human animals serves no biological purpose. Eating them does. There is good biological precedent for eating “step” offspring so make of that what you will.

with homosexuality. It serves zero advance to society. I mean I do not care what you do and I am not going to interfere, but it serves zero purpose.
Peg goes into hole; hole takes the juice; out comes a baby.
A dude and dude? Zero. A girl and a girl? Zero.

Do I serve zero advance to society?
I mean yeah, probably, but not because of that.

Is it really, though? I mean, are ANY relationships with our animals any more consensual? Your dog has to do what it's told, eat when and where it's told, do tricks when it's told, poop where it's told, take pills when it's told, and everything else. Our relationships with ALL animals are inherently one-sided in all aspects and by the traditional definition literally nothing we do with animals is consensual, so why is sex somehow heinous?
I can assure you, dogs care equally about sex as they care about food or belly rubs. Horses are about as fussed about someone fondling their danglies as they are stroking their tail or feeding them carrots. The only person in a zoophilic relationship that cares about any taboo revolving around sexuality is the human.
Furthermore, of the zoophiles I know (of which there are many), almost all of them actually give their animal partners more freedom and respect than non-zoophile folks. the folks I know who are physical with their dogs give said pets more freedom around the house, feed them better, and respect them a lot more than, say, my parents or casual acquaintances do.
The idea that a zoophilic relationship lacks consent is flawed from virtually every angle. Animals can communicate, just not verbally. Think about it, when was the last time you and your partner clearly communicated using spoken word when engaging in physical fun? I bet an overwhelming majority of your communication comes from subtle body language and universally known behaviours. Zoophiles are just as capable of reading body language as anyone else, and like many have said in this thread, our pets communicate a lot with us; a lot more than most people realize. Even if it isn't consensual, nothing we do with our animal companions - be it sexual or not - is consensual in your terms. Furthermore, animals aren't shy about sexuality; shame in that regard is pretty much exclusively a human thing.
In summation, the concept of zoophilia being rooted in a nonconsensual relation is fundamentally flawed on multiple levels.

Signal that moral decay is ready to take its next step

this seems about as good as anything to begin framing as acceptable to society. Being branded as "Zoophobic" is right over the horizon.
The wacky "72 genders" stuff is starting to get boring, so there needs to be a new frontier.

Kinda interesting. Some form of morality creates a society that is successful. Eventually the society reaches a peak of success then the morals that brought about that success decline, then the society declines. Rinse and repeat.
Side note "morality" is not always what we today in the US consider good, pure, just, and moral. Simply saying SOME system of morality is established that allows a society to flourish. Could be fascism, racism, animal sex or worship, whatever. To them that is their morality, and in the context of that, whatever it may be, they see success for a period until they reach a point where that moral system is questioned, cast aside, and there's a decline.
Side side note: Christianity set into motion a system of morality that has benefited humans more than any other previously. 2,000 years is a long time for a moral system to be in existence.

is disgusting.
Someone recently recounted to me their practice of sleeping with a female dog in heat. It apparently wears a diaper during this process and only dirties the sheets "occasionally"

I do have to say I have never seen a woman lick her own buttwhole.
Although I once did see a woman lick another woman's buttwhole at a strip club in Montreal.
