There was a game or two in football when we won

and it felt like a loss. Tonight, a 2 point loss at Duke actually felt like a win. Proud of the Tigers tonight!

We have really played above our pay grade tonight against a great team that has historically beat us to death at Duke.

It would have been the equivalent of Duke beating us in Football if we had won!

A loss never feels like a win to me. Never, ever!!! A "good" loss might make me feel better about the actual loss, but no way in Hades does it feel like a WIN!
AND.... a win, even a bad win, DOES NOT EVER FEEL LIKE A LOSS!
Did you ever play a sport? Any sport? If you did, then you know what I am talking about or you should.
It is fine to still be proud of the performance in a loss, but to say it felt like a win just makes no sense to me. I guess my competitive fire and the way I was raised makes me have a different view point, just like I can not stand the participation trophy these days. It just makes no sense to me. That is all.
