I don't plan to leave WNC, but it would be for Pickens or Oconee Counties if I did. It is a great place to live down there!

This is about 1/4 mile from my house. It is actually a public overlook on Highway 11. My house can’t be seen in the photo, but is on the back side of the meadow. No other land available currently, and most of what you see in the photo is either Table Rock State Park or under a conservation easement. One of the things that made us decide to make it our permanent home.

Good luck to you dsgriff and I'm sure that you are familiar with
Pickens County since you went to Clemson and already have a home
there. I am also familiar with that part of SC living in Greenville
and working a lot of projects in Pickens County. It was a great place
40 yrs ago but now full of left winged Yankee liberals with deep pockets.
I will gladly stay in my Harbison neighborhood that i have lived for over
40 years and be glad to die here.

I'm glad that y'all moved back to God's country. We made the move back last year around this time and haven't regretted it. I wished that we had moved out to the country but I couldn't convince her then. Now, she sees why.

Close. After years in Texas, my wife and I retired to Upstate SC, which was home for both our families. We have a second home in the North Georgia Mountains near Clayton which is literally only a few blocks from Heaven! Love it here!
