If SAT scores are the issue, it will be interesting to see where he lands. It's been a long time since I've heard of ANY NCAA football player having SAT issues. I thought academics stopped mattering in this new $$$ college league.

From what I read, NCAA doesn't use standardized tests anymore for eligibility. But Clemson still does for admissions.

The school can't mention the players' names until they sign. Everything we hear is unofficial rumors. Tony Rice couldn't get into Clemson (more the ACC's rule on PQs at the time kept him out). So he went to Notre Dame and won a national championship.

I really wish these guys would quit using prayer and God as an excuse to go back on their word. If “God” told you to commit somewhere a few months ago, he didn’t change his mind, you did. The OTHER Clemson site is saying that this is related to the house settlement and Clemson's plan once it's approved. Lot of moving parts to that settlement including whatever state legislation that is currently in place. Part of the settlement is that schools can directly compensate players if they wish to do so.

Don’t decommit from Clemson and spout off about values. You must not have good values if your values don’t align with Clemson as Dabo has a culture built on good values.

If a player is going to decommit, then he is basically quitting. I would rather use that scholarship for someone who is committed to Clemson all in. We will be better off with whomever we choose to backfill that offer.
