Simple truth about QB situation and the 2017 season

1. We are loaded with potential
2. It is both a good and bad problem
3. The sooner we can settle on a QB the better
4. Expectations are high so pressure for QB to perform is immense
5. QB play will be significant
6. In spite of #5.... We won tough games with Cole Stout.... current roster > stout
7. Even with DW4 we lost to a team like Pitt.... Even with great QB play this season we could still slip up.
8. Even with mediocre QB play we could be back in tthe playoffs
9. Our MO is to start slow and ramp up to end of season....I expect the same.... "just win"
10. Jane Bentley can't escape the repeat beat-down that is coming his way

Think this year will be all about the Defense, ball control/security. Or at least until the second half of the season. Just good ole assignment FB. However, I do think we will have the element of surprise because of the fact we lost our offensive stars. Last couple years it was no secret what we were going to do - it's kinda like here it is boys, see if you can stop it and no one could.

11. Offense has chance to take advantage of "unknowns" and surprise opposing coordinators.

1. So things should be Good.
2. But it still could go Bad.
3. The more things are good that makes it Better.
4. Being Better is more Pressure.
5. Being Better is also Significant.
6. It could go bad but end up Good.
7. It could go good and end up Bad.
8. Being So So still could be Good.
9. Good = Good.

Everyone on here debating this thing and making opinionated statements like facts. That's the simple truth.... Lot of reasons to believe things will go very well.... but even in "perfect conditions" it could go wrong.

Excellent Defense returning
Except instead of a walk on, a 4* Fr, and a 3* SR with no exp at QB we have four 4* & a 5* with no exp at QB ready to lead an entire roster that is 2deep with 4/5* at every level.
Plus the intangible confidence and committment to the process that our success has fostered.
= you don't want to play us... Ever.
Oh, and USC sucks goes w/o saying.

The last few years with Watson we've really been spoiled by a qb that could improvise and was almost like a coach on the field.
This year I think we'll see more of a qb that plays within the system, gets the ball to the playmakers, and doesn't make mistakes. If we can do that we can be extremely successful

of CJ Fuller and look for a lot of production from Tavien Feaster.
Fuller is proven, Feaster could have a breakout year.
Both give plenty of time and room for QB growth.

I think this year our running game is going to be a lot faster in relation to the tempo we run. I expect our running back to rotate morw and give defenses different looks which will open up or recievers down the field. Really lookong forward to seeing some long break away runs feom scrimmage this year. This should take some pressure off of whomever we have at QB.

1. The Defense is rock solid.
2. Too many weapons on Offense.
As long as the QB does not turn the ball over, we will be in a position to get back to the ACC championship game and beyond. IMHO.

score 30+ points to win on 5 different occasions. The offense was up to the task 4 out of 5 times. If we give up 30+ points 5 times again next year we will lose several games.

We have a better defense this year.... and yes.... last year we had to scour a lot to keep pace in some games.... but that wasn't until the UL iirc. And most of those games were due to turn overs by our O that led to quick scores.
.... which suggests being conservative early
