On paying members with impunity. I guess it's a living, breathing example of subsidizing. Who knew such economic lessons could be gleaned from a 'supposed' gathering of Clemson alums/fans. Hmmm...

As with most things, it’s not so simple. Many years ago, I was a proud paying member. I was attacked by what most would now recognize as the LF. I tried to use common sense and the posted rules but was ignored. So I voted with my wallet. I have often advocated that everyone who posts should pay a nominal amount, no benefits except the ability to post on this bored but no one cares. It is apparent to me that the ad revenue from disgruntled folks is far greater to the mods than a semblance of fairness. To support the site, I have done everything possible to drive traffic.

An on again off again subscriber (long story there for another post) but correct me if I’m wrong, are we not still helping the site by all the hits on the ads? Also, does the viewer hits of the pages of Tigernet not help Tigernet attract higher paying ads by the higher viewership/hits?
I truly do not know the answer to this but that’s what ai have heard so my feelings won’t be hurt if you correct me.
Having said that, I try my best to be polite and contribute in a positive way, which unfortunately to some have led me to be accused of being a “sunshine pumper” !

I’m not a paying member, but try to be respectful to other posters. I also don’t believe in using the flag icon to censor others. I prefer to let those folks show their true selves for all to see.

rhettfla for grasping the proper context. As is typical of so many these days, expressing indignation trumps reading comprehension. There are folks who go out of their way to be rude and condescending to paying members. That's simply wrong. Granted, there are paying members who step out of line, too...but...they are paying.
I don't know, I guess 'play nice' isn't a thing anymore. Selah!
