Nov 16, 2012, 1:29 PM

He has been there a number of years hasn't he? Has he ever looked at going back to a college job? just wondered

He drove from Columbia to school in Goose Creek for years. This is a heck of a commute. He was doing the drive for family reasons with his daughter.

he has been there 11 years now and I think is getting closer to the required years for state retirement. His children are out of school now but he seems happy at GC.

I have never heard any mention of going back to College.

He owns several Subway restaurants so he's been sitting pretty for a while. Think he'll just work until he hits retirement from the state and ride the wave in.

They called a press conference in our lunch room to announce Coach Reedy as our coach. That was my softmore year. We went 1-10 my junior year (Reedy's first year).

He knew it would take a while but he has turned one of the worst programs in the state into one of the most powerful teams in the country. Pretty impressive.

Reedy has done a fantastic job at GC no doubt.

His record
2002 = 1-10
2003 = 5-7
2004 = 8-5
2005 = 6-5
2006 = 9-4
2007 = 8-4
2008 = 9-4
2009 = 10-4
2010 = 13-1
2011 = 13-2 (state champ)
2012 = 12-0

GC won 13 games in the 8 years seasons before he got there.

Coastal Carolina job last year. I was told this was his last year by someone from the school but haven't heard that officially announced. I hope he stays but driving back and forth from Columbia would have to get old though.

He coached after leaving Clemson and was head coach at Baylor a couple of places after but wanted to remain in SC .... Moving kids all of the country isn't easy. Now does it for the love of the kids and football! Hell of a coach and will have enough years with the state soon

Wish he'd gotten the Clemson job over Hatfield***

Don't know why, but faculty was up in arms over that idea.***

His Baylor record probably had him yearning for South Carolina.
