I wish we would have landed him knowing he grew up a Tiger fan and he could be amazing in the future but trust Dabo & crew.

Can’t understand why he wasn’t a top target. He looks the part in person. I believe he’ll be a really good college QB if the curse of Columbia doesn’t get him. Probably too late now , but he should be wearing orange in the future

Not quite sure of the date line, but I believe that we had Herbert committed at the time. My understanding is that we would take EITHER Herbert OR Woods, whoever committed first. Can anyone verify?

but that could potentially change based on the Blake Hebert de-commitment.
I do know that Clemson is interested in 4-star Bryce Baker out of E. Forsyth, NC. He's currently committed to the TarHoles but based on the season they're having, he's likely someone Clemson could flip.
Sawyer Anderson in Dallas, TX is another possibility for Clemson. He's currently committed to Purdue but the Boilermakers are off to a 1-6 start, winless in Big 10 play, and just fired their offensive coordinator. He also camped at Clemson in 2023. Garett Riley recruited him while he was at TCU.
Will Wilson is another kid out of North Carolina who might be an option for Clemson. He's a Nancy State commit but similar to UNCheat, he's someone Clemson could potentially flip since the Wuss Pack's season has spiraled downward like a weak flushing toilet. He camped at Clemson a summer ago.
With respect to Cutter Woods, I don't know what Dabo's level of interest is (if any), but a Clemson offer is something the kid has specifically said that he has always wanted.

I’ve seen Cutter Woods play and he looks amazing. His character is great and his love of God is unquestionable.
But he is a 3* QB who is ranked by ESPN as the 317th player in the nation, 31st QB in the nation and 10th player in the state.
I would not have thought he was rated this low but his offers from colleges back up the rating.

To me QB is getting harder and harder to judge for a recruiter. Why? Well, some of these QB's play in really good systems. Or they play in decent systems; but their competition isn't great and their #'s are exaggerated. Or they simply have the measurables. Or they went to a school with loaded players around them and got overrated.
I don't think it was an accident that Pearman played as well as he did during Spring. He just wasn't in a Nationally recognized( State recognized as good yes) program as being good. So, I think it hurt him.
The Westside QB could be as good as anybody; but in a "run 1st offense where he doesn't get to show what he can do that often"!
Patrick Mahomes was a 3-star.
Lamar Jackson was a 3-star.
Baker Mayfield was a 3-star.
Russell Wilson was a 2-star.
Cam Ward was a 3-star.
Multiple Heisman winners on that list and multiple NFL league MVP's on the list. The Heisman front runner is on the list. Dabo has shown he values "his evaluation of a player over the recruiting services" and it has paid off big time for Clemson.
Hitting on underrated players that went on to the NFL like:

Tanner Muse
Isiah Simmons
Gardy Jarrett
Vic Beasley
K'von Wallace
Cordrea Tankersley
Hunter Renfrow
And others.

Heard several folks say Henderson will not be a RB when he gets to Clemson. He definitely has some on field maturing to do, one of several instances occurring in front of Grisham and Spiller earlier in the season.
