If Dabo believed in his RB room so much then
Why didn’t he play any of the other backs ALL season. ESPECIALLY when mafah was hurt for half the season. Please
Love Dabo but that S$&)T right there is why we lose. Loyalty above all. Even if it cost us games. SMH

Yep, we've got no depth at key positions, unlike our championship years when we were 2 deep with studs and knew the 4th quarter would be ours.

Building depth now has to be tough. You bring a guy from the portal and then next week if we get beat by Texas we could have other receivers to leave. We have no clue what next week could look like around here.

No, and I strongly believe that's one reason so many coaches are turning to the portal. You need college football speed experience on the field. The skill positions like wr, RB, QB's you can have freshman, but it's very few DL, ol, safety, backers that are freshman and handle the college speed.

Yeah, we haven't been able to use the phrase "we 2 deep " in a couple years. Maybe the interior dline, but that's about it.
I'm glad we got Tristan. But I hope the anti portal crowd was relieved somewhat by Dabo's comments saying we "couldn't find any high school guys " and he seems very defensive about everything these days. Used the portal 3 of the last 4 years... yeah ok Dabo.

OK so I watched the MVFC championship, and the poor kid played terrible. Good stats but he fumbled and was directly responsible for 2 interceptions. Maybe he just had a bad game. Hopefully that was just a small sample. He has the height for sure.

Yikes!!!
Well, if you read his story that was posted a couple days ago, you could tell he was genuinely blown away watching our practices and was impressed how well our guys got in and out of their breaks. Hopefully a bad day because tge last 16 games, we haven't had to worry much about turnovers... except silly, cute plays.
Hoping that Tristan gets 2 years. I think he'll bust butt learning... and I could see him taking a year to blossom.

Ya he seems like a great kid. I also saw an interview with him, and he carried himself very well. Once again, I was not trying to throw off on him just an observation from one game.

Talk about burying the lead....I wish our new WR good luck and success but that is a depth move for NEXT year. The STORY is our RB room or lack thereof... We never built any depth there and then on top of that made the inexcusable mistake of putting our #2 who was functioning as our #1 on kick retutn to start a half where we had the game under control and adding to the misery by letting him return the kick when there was no reason for it whatsoever.
Then we are left with NO RB for the rest of the game and once we just hope can raise his arm to waive in our playoff game. I have no reason to think that Mafah won't give his all but do we not trust anyone else to run enough to give Cade a chance to be successful.
Obviously the defense may be THE story of the game but on offense its clearly the RB that will tell the tale of what happens.
