If memory serves, we are looking at adding one each of QB, LB, DB, OL and DE. Can anyone confirm?

Seems like we are dedicated to the retain and develop process now. We may, due to revenue sharing and our excellent culture, land a Top-10 class every few years. However, I see us in the Top-15 most years. We will need to limit transfers and develop the players. Last year we were all cursing the development and this year we are lauding the great development. It’s very hard to win consistently. Clemson and Alabama had the most 10 win consecutive seasons ever. I don’t think it will be repeated anytime soon.

Saban was saying on college gameday, this am, how difficult it is to be a consistent winner. He was talking about the mindset of players and how they need to forget yesterday's win and focus on the next game. Consistency is key....all things Dabo has spoken about. I believe we saw that aspect in our program the last couple of years. Success is predicated on consistency, determination, coaching and will to win. We're going to have to hope that Dabo and co. ARE able to recruit competitively and that we are able to pay to retain our best players. One thing that has yet to play out. I believe scholarships are, or will, increase to 115? Hopefully, we can use that to find diamonds....

Dabo isnt losing the gimmie games like Bowden did. This is also a whole, brave new world we live in for college sports. Tragedy......
Coaches are going to have to adapt.

So that is my concern, since we cant have walk-ons anymore, Dabo will just make the Walk-ons schollie players to offset the additional needed players. He hated not allowing Walk-ons.
At 105 schollies, we should be able to fill the roster with 3* players after we miss on our targets. Putting more than 3 walk-ons on schollie when limited to total players now would be a mistake.

I saw that roster size is 85 until July 1, 2025. So we can't go over with this class. There may be room for 3 more signees this cycle. One will probably be a QB to replace Hebert.

This year and next are no doubt key in terms of up-cycle play on the field

with Klubnik, Mafah, Briningstool, OL, Carter and Woodaz as upperclassmen. Need more depth behind them. Playoff and bowl performances will make a statement and go a long way in terms of successfully recruiting more talent (coupled with NIL offerings). Next year RB position likely to be be a platoon.
Next year with Klubnik, Woods, Woodaz, Brown, Moore and Wesco leading a strong talent pool brings plenty of potential.

In one way, we really don't know. We can say all these players are staying but how many nate the great do we have in the locker room.
