I defend the right for Boise St. to get in if they win there conference.....but i do think they would lose all 3 games if they played SMU, Clemson and Miami.
Pen State is a garbage 1 loss team......Indiana is an unknown, Oregon is probably the must unknown no.1 in a long time....i realize they beat Ohio state early but i was by 1 point at home and have not played good since.
I think Notre Dame is the most dangerous team out there right now, Ohio State is the most talented.
all the 3 loss teams can say goodbye...bama...ole...miss...and A&M and should Texas or Georgia end up with 3 losses they can forget it to unless they win the SEC.

I agree. I hink the Notre Dame is the real deal this year as far as being in the playoff. They aren't pretenders in that regard. They can play with just about anyone right now.

IMO ND don't have any rights to anything that involves mostly teams that play in a conference. If the playoffs wasn't conference oriented, then conference champions shouldn't have a bye, and the entire playoff thingy should be based on the rankings regardless of what conference that a team plays it's yearly schedule in. But the facts are the playoffs are based on conference finishes bc they are awarding conference champions a first round bye.
Notre Dame really shouldn't be one of the horses in this race bc they are NOT affiliated with any conference with their FB program, and basketball, baseball, or any other sport that ND has in the ACC, those teams wouldn't be invited to play in the Football playoffs, and that should leave ND without a playoff spot with their FB program and that choice their choice bc they chose not to bring their FB program to any conference. Maybe NBC should invite their list of FB programs to play in the NBC playoff championship contest bc that is what ND chose over being a member to a conference with their FB program. And that is the situation that ND should be in bc of their choosing!!!

If we bring our ‘A-Game’ we could go deep in the CFP,
Too many mistakes take us out of games….
FIRST WE HAVE TO BEAT THE COOTS!
Then a couple of Top 12 upsets could put us in the CFP with a road game at a Top 10 home field.
Tough road, but we have the talent to play with anybody!

I think Clemson needs to beat the coots by at least 14 points to make it to #12. A really close game may not do it. But , maybe a win is a win. It's going to be crazy and a lot is still up for grabs. We do our part, and Cuse do their part, and our chances greatly improve. Beating the coots is not going to be easy. Right now I would not bet a penny on either team to win.

I will be be doing everything possible as a fan to see Clemson win Saturday, but if I had to bet my house on the game, I don’t think I could bet on us. We are going to have to score A LOT of points to win. Based on what we’ve done the second half of the season, I don’t see us stopping the coot offense consistently.

Yesterday was not insane at all. I have said for months that the SEC teams would beat up on each other and of course they have. Texas had the easiest schedule and they are on top and in these times of larger conferences, there will be uneven schedules every year in all Power 4.

The only way we're getting in is cuse beats Miami and puts us in the championship game. We could beat the cawks by 50 and it wouldn't matter.

This poll this week doesn't matter, but make no mistake after next weeks win over USuC Clemson is in the playoffs no matter what happens to Miami. If Miami loses then Clemson will beat SMU, if Miami wins then Clemson will be the 10-11 seed. The loser of the ACC Championship game will be eliminated. Your final teams in will be Oregon/Ohio St, Texas/Georgia, Miami/SMU/Clemson, Arizona St/Iowa St, at Large teams will be Penn St, Notre Dame, Boise St, Oregon/Ohio St, Texas/Georgia, Indiana, Tennessee, Clemson. Clemson could be ranked as high a 10 as an at large but could be 11/12. 10-2 Clemson or 11-2 Clemson will be in the CFP. Bank it!
