Gamecocks better watch out. He doesn't mention the Roy Bus unless he's feeling good about our team and our chances.

Coach, why don't we just forget about trying to minimize the second half debacle against Jawja.

It wasn't the preparation. It was playing a tremendous amount of underclassmen that had little to no experience. It took us quite a while to bench Lukas but he got embarrassed against Ga. We have taken a few steps forward since that game on offense and Hampton/Brown should provide help on D we didn't have game 1. I look for us to play our best game this Saturday @noon. Go Tigers!!!

Yeah I've mentioned it several times about how Dabo has changed. It kinda started with DJ5 and further escalated with Tyler. Dabo claims he doesn't read tnet or listen to what fans are saying but it's abundantly clear he does and he's started to let it get to him.
The Roy Bus stuff is funny. I don't like the whole b1g/sec invitation stuff. Dabo a decade ago would have never said anything about refs. I explicitly remember a decade ago that he was asked about the dw4 Pitt loss and his response was we shouldn't have been in a position to where that matters.
Not saying he's wrong but that's for fans and pundits to debate. Ok, go ahead and call me a coot.

Blocked field goals? Run defense. “Unstoppable Wesco and Moore” not so much. Thankful for Antonio. No offensive line - gutted by injury. Citadel runs through us. Last minute to beat Pitt. Lose to Louisville. I love the Tigers, quit believing Coach speak and I am not so sure we don’t get beat.

You’re right. They shouldn’t even play the game. I don’t know why he doesn’t just ask Beamer and the SC AD for a forfeit. They can’t win. Pointless to try. Maybe they’ll just cancel the game. We can only hope, right?

I miss the old Dabo

The old Dabo would’ve said something like this:
“Honestly I’m not sure we’re good enough. We’ve squandered our chances so far. We get one last chance to prove ourselves at home this weekend.”
He did essentially say win and we’re in, but when you get batch slapped by UGA and Louisville… kinda leaves a lot of doubt.

The correct Dabo would have said, “We are Clemson. We suck this year, and we have sucked, quite frankly, since February of 2019. I knew then the party was over. And what have we done since then? National Championships? Zero. National Runner-Up? 1, but who cares about that? You ain’t first, you’re last. ACC Titles? Well, we’ve had three of those, but it is called the A She She for a reason. Who cares? I’m making $11 million, but I read TigerNet. Those guys, well, you know, some might call them blowhards, but they are smart. Dang Smart! They know where it is is at. At Clemson, if you don’t win EVERY game EVERY year, they should fire you. The only reason they ain’t fired me is because I’ve been casting my secret spells and hypnotisms on the AD and IPTAY. They are starting to see through my facade. They know what I know, and it’s what all those Gamecock fans knew way back in 2008. I ain’t nothing but a glorified cheerleader. I don’t know much. I hired Brent Venerables (yea, I know how to say his name, but that’s a shoutout to my friend Mack Brown) and got lucky. He was the reason we won around here. Everyone knows that. Anyhow, maybe they’ll fire me after the game Saturday. I hope so because I can’t quit and walk away from all those $millions. I feel bad, but I’m kind of way over my head right now. Have been since about 2003.”
“P.S. If any of you guys know Tyler from Spartanburg’s number, pass it to me. I need to call him and thank him and then apologize.”
Maybe “correct” Dabo can show back up again, but let’s face it: he won’t. He’s soft, just like this team. Maybe they’ll fire can change the name to the Clemson Chicken Tenders. Well, that might make some boosters and alumni mad with the chicken in the title, but after a day or two, they’ll understand and agree. It’s a fitting name. We are soft around these parts. We need Knute Rockne, not Bob the Builder.
“16-0 every year. Perfect is the standard. And, if it ain’t, we quit the season!”

agreed...but the way things have shaken out, it does appear that the 10-15 teams at the top are all good but there doesn't appear to be much separation. I think whoever wins out of Clemson & South Carolina has a strong case for one of the final at-large spots in the playoff. Carolinas last loss was by 2 points at Alabama, and they have reeled off 5 straight wins. Four of those wins were against solid SEC teams & 3 of those were thrashings of Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt, with a close win against Missouri. Both Oklahoma & Vanderbilt beat Alabama, & Carolina pounded these teams in their current 5 game winning streak. South Carolina has 3 losses; by 2pts to Alabama, by 3 points to LSU, and the only team that whipped Carolina was a hot Ole-Miss team earlier in the season. Judging by their record, it appears Carolina is one of the top teams in the SEC. I think its going to be a tall task to beat South Carolina, especially if Clemson is still banged up, but if they do, they will have beat one of the better teams in the country.

I feel kind of like I did walking into the stadium in 1980; how can we win, today? Carolina was 8-2 and had George Rogers. We were struggling, and some thought Ford might be fired if he lost. He broke out the Orange pants for the first time and, we won 27-6. We need something like that, Saturday.

We can only beat those on the sch but our wins are not over great teams. Pitt has lost 4 in a row and they may be our best win to date. Hope we can turn that and beat a solid coot team who is riding high

Gotta win for sure. Dirt peckers will bring blitzes against Cade. Middle of field should be open. Tiger receivers need to squeeze the ball more than they ever have. Hope Riley has plays no team has seen before. Roll out Klubnik with option to pass or run. Every Tiger player needs to leave all on the field Saturday with no regrets. GO TIGERS

carry as much weight as late season losses. They know teams typically get better via natural growth in the game and coaching being more familiar with the strengths and weakness of their players and grow in utilizing their talents and abilities.
The old folks use to call it common sense. It's a thing of the past which eludes most sports fans.
