As soon a Pwoods announces he is returning we can go ahead and get excited about this Dline. This is Big, TJ Parker is elite and having him back is huge. Peter Woods and that 5 star kid out of Florence in the middle. Parker and the Purdue transfer on the edges, and in Lawson who improved this season and we have a really good starting Dline.

TJ and P Woods would be a major portion of an improved defense. The Purdue kid plays hard and with bad intentions, and we retain the nucleus of the 1st team all around. I even heard something about Capehart trying to get another year too? What’s that all about?

We have an excellent 2-deep at DT even if Capehart and Tre Williams (who indeed has an extra year of eligibility in 2025, if he chooses to take it) are not going to play for us next year.
Stephiylan Green is a proven, high quality DT. So there’s the answer to who will be the co-starter in the DT rotation with P.Woods.
Then, we have RS Fr Hevin Brown-Shuler and Champ Thompson to compete with incoming true Fr Amare Adams to create the second string.
That list of five DTs overall excludes Capehart, T.Williams, Vic Burley, Caden Story, and incoming true FR DT Makhi Williams-Lee. (I’ve left off R-SO DT Vic Burley from this list pending health updates regarding his balky knee.)
We’re in either very good shape or flat out great shape with our DT unit for 2025.
(DE position also looks great as far as first string and decent-to-good shape for the second string, depending on how much additional progress is made before nect season with J.Lawson, Denhoff, and Darien Mayo.)
