Considering losing two 5* players after Debbie was fired and losing our best SR to graduation, I think Poppie filled his roster with some good talent and still had a little talent with couple players.

I didn't know Poppie prior to hire but I like everything about the hire. I think he brings some excitement to the program as he has been a winner at other coaching jobs. I expect good things even if this year is a rebuild team with 9 transfers.

And to be honest, one of those 5-stars, Whitehorn, was rather underwhelming last year. The athleticism is exceptional, but the shot left a lot to be desired. In fairness, she is still young, and I'm not trying to bash on her. She's certainly a player it would be nice to still have, but unless she improves substantially this year at Tennessee, it won't be the type of franchise-altering piece you might expect when you hear "5-star."
