and they took him out of game. It's almost like somebody had a lot of money riding on the game.

That’s a prime example of an incompetent coach! But what do you expect from a man who’s never played a down of football much less LB. Let’s let the Senior play.. well… because he’s a sr! Meanwhile it’s ok if we lose the state championship because of it.

Why was Sammy Brown not in during the last plays when Sellers was undoubtably

going to hesitate and run? He's the only LB that can move, get off a block, and make a play. Woodaz reacts too slow and gets lost. CArter is usually back in coverage but he never fires off and makes a big play/tackle. Sammy Brown is the only real NFL caliber player, even though he's a freshman he should've been the MVP this morning b/c I could've seen a scenario where he showed out at the end. Coaches over think these things too much. Just leave the guy in who is playing the best.

Woodaz was coming back from that major leg cruise that kept him out at least two full games. Perhaps he was less than 100%. The coaches knew that and should have figured out why he was uncharacteristically missing tackles. Yet, they apparently chose to gamble in the wounded Woodaz (because he knew his assignments better) instead of the full-bore, most talented LB on the team (S.Brown) because of his comparative inexperience.
That decision didn’t work out very well, did it?

Couldn't help but notice Woodaz was about a step slow in his pursuit most of the game. Sammy played well and should have played the whole game, even if it meant sidelining Carter or Woodaz when only two linebackers were needed.

Thought Lawson was coming on at DE, but Denhoff is getting more PT. Would've liked to see his grade for the game.

Denhoff was a 60, so basically average for PFF's scale. Lawson was at 50.3 in his limited time.

Any insights as to why Lawson, who appeared to have taken over a starter’s role at DE (allowing P.Woods to return to DT), was relegated to such few snaps? Hoeffler had many more snaps than Lawson, which is not meant to disparage Hoeffler, but amplified the questions about Lawson’s minimal snap count.

It was definitely a change in the DE rotation, but we haven't been given any indication on why they went that way.

Not sure how Mafah gets credited with the fumble when Klubnik tripped and gave a poor toss.

I for one do not like rotating so many players in big games. I like the fact we kept our best WRs on the field for the majority of the game. I wish we would have rotated Haynes in more for a change of pace and because Mafais definitely injured. Hammer Head would have been better than Mafa in short yardage situations. Hard to rotate OL because they need to be in tune with each other during the week and game day. Rotate these guys only if they have an injury or someone is getting destroyed. I feel we rotate to often on the DL. There is definitely a talent drop off when we send in the number twos. Find you best 3 DTs and your 3 best DEs and let them play. You will figure out the mix that plays best together. This time of year conditioning should not be a problem. Find 4/5 secondary guys and let them play. Only rotate due to injury/ getting beat. Just my thoughts. Have a good afternoon.

Seems like Walker Parks grades out the worst o-lineman most weeks. He’s been in the program a long time but has totally regressed from his freshman year. That being said, I’m still proud of the job Matt Luke has done this year with all the injuries.

This looks terrible. It's a wonder we were in the game (chicken turnovers I guess). So many questions, so few answers. Poor coaching (Sammy should have played more). Our TE's are underutilized. Mafah has been hurt/ineffective for the month of November. Because Haynes has not played, he, apparently, was not ready (trusted) to help fill in (kind of like Cade couldn't help two years ago when DJU stunk it up). We seem so fragile and soft. Tackling was terrible. So many issues. Even with all of the crazy, we still had a chance and blew it.....again. You get one chance a year, and we blew it again.....at home. Terrible.

I can forgive everything else but heads should roll over those missed tackles.
