Norvell has put them on notice that they won't be at FSU next season. IMO that was fair enough and it allows them to start looking before other teams start firing coaches. Also, IMO it's just as much Norvell's fault that his team has done so bad by him allowing so many players to be taken from the portal.

I think that it would have worked out better for him and those coaches he's firing if they would've just taken a couple of got to have them right now players from the portal and went to work developing the new signee true freshman and red shirt freshman. If he would have done that it wouldn't have looked so bad on him and his coaches for losing a few games bc everyone would have understood that their team wasn't going to be that good bc of all the players that left from graduation and the NFL.

With the way that it turned out for Norvell trying to build another elite team from the portal that failed, it kind of goes along with what Dabo has been saying, if he can't get players out of the portal that are as good or better than what he already had, that he would be wasting time with portal guys!!!

Well this is the poster child or some might say growing pains of college football today. Live by the sword and die by the sword and save your butt by firing others to start with. In FSU lineage Jimbo tried that at Texas and bought the best team ever and where is he now?
Well to be honest he is rich but he is also out of work. Bring on Norvell who had great success by buying players only when things got tough they got going and the result is what you see today.
It's the highs and lows of the portal and NIL, boom or bust. No better example than FSU in the last 2 years.
Dabo has chosen a different path and many including myself have critiqued him on this, especially when we lose to teams that are not up to what we believe our standards are.
We spent several incredible years with incredible players and only one rival, going 2 and 2 overall and 2 and 1 in national championships with Alabama our only rival at the national level.
Honestly I doubt that's going to happen again with any 2 teams with the rise and fall of teams based on the $.
We don't like to say it when we lose games but our worst year has been winning 9 not winning one like Florida State and there's a lot to be said for that.
I just hope we can get enough players that won't be developed, want to go to college and want to graduate and maybe enough of them are the Hunter Renfro's of the future that we can continue to be successful.
