I wish Chase all the best. I don't know if another year at App. St. would have done much for him but I'm also not sure how much NFL interest there will be. Hopefully, he got some feedback that said there would be interest and he can turn it into a great opportunity.

I think Chase has a lot too offer to the NFL. He is a winner. Remember, Tom Brady was drafted #199 in the draft way back when and is now the G.O.A.T.

He had a good year, threw for a lot of yards and got some national attention. Probably figures he needs to strike while the iron's hot... Best wishes to making the dance!

My thought as well. He redshirted 2017, played at CU 2018 & 2019, then Duke for 2020. Thought he was at ASU 2021 ??? and obviously last season. Was he injured the 2021 season and can still get a covid year? Certainly wish him the best with a good try for the NFL.

I think Chase could work himself into a backup position. I think he would be good at staying ready and could save some team whose QB got hurt.

Best of luck to CB. I remember when he committed to Clemson someone asked him why he wanted to go to Clemson because we already had commitments from Hunter Johnson and Trevor Lawrence and he said, “I’m not planning to sit behind anybody.” I loved that attitude. Without him there is probably no national championship in 2018. It would have been nice to have him in 2021 and 2022.

In the end, he sat at Clemson and then yeah, he refused to sit behind anybody and left. I’m personally not much on following players that left the program for another program. Call it a personality flaw if you will. I’m good with it.

He wasn’t behind “anybody”. He saved the Syracuse game but saw the writing on the wall as that was ANYBODY’s freshman year.

I don’t blame him for leaving and I don’t think he left with sour grapes like K Bryant seemed to. He had dreams of playing in the NFL and could see that he wasn’t going to play ahead of T Lawrence. A player could not beat out Lawrence and still be a pretty darn good quarterback. Whether he should have come to Clemson at all is a different question but he had enough confidence to feel that he could earn the quarterback position even though he knew Lawrence would be there. Lawrence was the most highly recruited player in the country and Brice didn’t back down. I admire that.

Always loved Brice style of play , he threw my son his first collegiate touch down his freshman season. if things don't workout in your favor during the draft, come join Dre in the USFL with Philadelphia Stars.
