The dumbest poster on the board saying something is stupid. Wow.

I realize the haters get mad when good news breaks, but take a xanax and calm down.

it is silly right now

it will be stupid when a player transfers 3 weeks into a season.. plays 1 month at the new school.. then transfers to a 3rd school for the last part of the season.

I think that is what part of the Tiger Net forms are for, for folks to speak about how they feel about different things.

He's the type of player who will make great plays sometimes and other times miss easy shots and make questionable decisions. Along with Nick Davidson, Carter Welling, and now RJ we have added 3 big men just like that. Now we need a veteran guard to help out Dillon.

And now he’s coming back to compete for a starting spot.

Is there something I am missing on why some posters are getting so emotional or negative about this?

It’s a P4 conference player to fill out the roster at the very least.

I’ve said before that I really liked Godfrey. Adds some toughness and athletic ability in the paint. Good player off the bench to help keep our big guys out of serious foul trouble when the refs let the game get physical.

To say the portal is completely out of control is a huge understatement - somehow we have to get a grip on this!

He wanted to start, and we could not guarantee that.

He went to another power conference team because he was told he would start. That school was also one that he had a strong family connection to. He was there a year and realized that he missed Clemson and wanted to be back.

Rather than focusing on how horrible you view the transfer portal as being, I think we should instead be looking at how cool it is that RJ missed Clemson and wanted to return - even though he knew he would have to deal with public criticism and complaints about it.

There been a lot of hubbub I the past(assume lies) about players that hate our current coach, but this seems to negate that narrative. I know people are frustrated, but let’s support our Tigers, new and old. Go Tigers!

67% wins, and top 10 road wins are ahead.

This is a testament to the coaching staff, the program and the university that a good player comes back in these times. He could go anywhere.

Glad to have him back. Shows a lot of grace and maturity by both RJ and CBB to make it happen. If they're happy, I am happy. I don't think we would have made it into the Elite 8 without RJ's clutch contributions in the playoffs.

...get plenty of playing time and a big bonus that he already knows Brownell's "system" and way of doing things. His return is a testament to Brownell's (and staff) strong relationship with his players and maintained the ability to "recruit" him back to Tigertown. I know we don't know yet what role the NIL$ played in this but believe he should have had several good options besides rejoining us (or staying with the dawgs). At least one proven shooting guard seems to now be the top priority so hopefully another exciting signing announcement is coming soon.
