Maybe he can get the ACC TV contract renegotiate too. ACC needs four legit teams or we will keep losing recruits to big 10 and SEC. Good for confrence and I don't think anyone should underestimate this future HOF coach.

I have to agree. Maybe he can. UNC just may be on to something. He knows how to handle a team filled with Prima Donna's kinda like prime time. Face the music, CFB is fast becoming the NFL farm system. Sure, there will always be a few athletes that understand and value the college education and experience... enough to win championships? Debatable.

Belichick is to old to be changing who he is, and who he is really rough around the edges and that won't sit well with college students. Parent will be chewing on the UNC president butt on a weekly basis!!!

Spurrier was so washed up he won 11 games twice and the SEC East. I always liked him until he coached the game chickens.

Auburn did get a pretty solid ROI on their qb that year. Had they faced a different team, they might've won the SEC that year.

DESPERATION! On both sides. Belichick knew he had no interest from the NFL and NC well they will do anything to be ‘relevant’. Unfortunately paying a few million to one and dones in basketball for a shot at a chip is not the same game as big time college football. Not enough juice to squeeze out of those Tarheels I’m afraid.

I didn't say that Harbaugh wasn't successful. He just wasn't successful like Belichick (or Shula, Landry, Knoll, Walsh, et al).
Pete Carroll went 6-10 as the Jets HC before getting fired after one season. He went 27-21 at New England in 3 seasons before getting fired for declining performance (10-6, 9-7, 8-8). I hear that the NFL is a 50-50 league so arguably, he was successful, but not very.

Belichick knows the NFL free agency process which is what the transfer portal is becoming in college football. He comes in with experience far beyond the current slate of college football coaches and a name and reputation that the transfer portal guys will be drawn to. Like it or not, he will be the standard that other coaches will now follow concerning the portal.

He will put an emphasis on hiring recruiters first and coaches next. Belichick is a great coach who will train his assistants to coach and use the success learned from Bill Parcells to build a winner. Their only problem is if some NFL team next year offers him a job.

College football is changing fast and I got a bad feeling Clemson is way behind and is going to take years to catch up. Looking at our current team and recruiting...I could see having some rough years ahead. Still love clemson but nervous about the future! I just hate what college football has become...

It will be interesting to see how coaching with the different talent levels works out. Cannot buy top shelf talent like in the NFL, gotta develop it.
Am wondering if he wears all 6 SB Champ rings at once. That would make a for a weird look.
