Too bad more young Americans can't see what an honor it is to be a citizen of this country. It would open a lot of people eyes of they had to live in a 3rd world country for 6mos to a year.

I'm proud that a fine young man like Garrett puts his country before self. He will indeed make an outstanding Marine officer. I can give him some tips about OCS and Basic School, but I suspect that he doesn't need any!

Do what you believe in your heart is best for you, and that is what we all should do. My personal feeling about this is, I would so much rather have a smart young man as yourself helping to protect our country over, one short season as a Clemson FB TE where you could end up with an injury that would maybe prohibit you from qualifying to enter our armed services.
Being a life time officer in our Militarily is way more important than a season of college FB that could cause you to lose the chance of a future FB in the NFL and our Military at the same instance... If the military is your dream for your future, then don't even consider another season of college FB bc the risk is to great of keeping you out of the military. Good luck, and Clemson educated men has made mighty fine soldiers, they have before you, and will do so along with you, and will after you!!! Go Tigers, and Go Armed Forces. Stars and Stripes forever!!!
