It was one game and one inning, other than that he was lights out. Not that concerning, that'll fix itself as the season goes. The real issues is finding a reliable #3 guy.

Big problem. Bigger problem than the media is letting on. By my count, we only have 11 healthy pitchers that I think can realistically hold their own in a competitive game. Four have to start this weekend. That only leaves 7 to come out of the pen over a four game stretch.
We need Gillen, Samol, Bell, and Bennett back ASAP. EB says they are on the fast track, but for some reason baseball injury timelines seem to be kept closer to the vest than football or basketball injuries.
If we get those four back, and LeGeurnic finds his groove, we’ll be fine. But if not, don’t be surprised when we land as a 2 seed in the playoffs.
We’ve got a lot of great players this year, sucks that this is the year to start with a beat up pitching staff. Here’s to them getting healthy and performing well this season.

Wow, first I heard about Samol. Didn't think he was hurt. I know @jqhall627 read me the riot act for posting under the Dane article on how bummed I was with all the injuries... but it sounds worse than even I imagined. After fall camp, it looked like this was definitely our year because of our pitching depth. None of us know when its our time, but I know mine is short. I've dreamed since a young pup of Clemson winning the CWS.

I feel EB said he was banged up on the radio Tuesday. I may be wrong. But sounded like very minor. Should be the first of the injured pitchers back. Maybe even this weekend.
Again, maybe I dreamed that.

Some say no, some say yes. For now, we have quite a few that are banged up. And of course you saw Dane Moehler out for the year. I get the impression that LeGuernic was pegged more as a mid week starter b4 the injury bug.
Personally I've wanted to see Samol pitch since last year. But of course, he was out. But no one has reported that he is injured. That's good news I hope.

In a four game set, it's not uncommon to have one listed as TBA. You just don't know who that 4th starter is yet. Look around this weekend (whoever is playing 4 games) and you'll see it.
Losing Moehler and Kissenberth stings but these injuries happen to everyone. Gillen should be back soon as well as Bennett and Bell is ramping up his workload and will pitch this year.
People need to have more faith in Belanger, he is one of the best in college. And honestly, this Freshamn class is his first real class and it's loaded with really good pitchers.

too early to tell but concerning . Our starters didnt look great last weekend and have to go deeper into games. You must have good if not dominant starting pitching to get to where we want to go and right now we are far from dominant. We played better competition to be fair than most teams but The way Ole Miss lit us up in worrisome after watching Texas pitching completely shut them down. Ole Miss is picked next to last in SEC if that tells you anything. I pray we find some pitching before the USUCK series beacuse their pitching has been good against lesser competition so far.

Totally agree. We play 28 games (half of our regular season) over the next 5.5 weeks. We can’t afford for pitching to be banged up/not performing for much longer. I have 110% confidence in our full staff, the problem is we don’t have the full staff right now

First weekend was good, though the Ole Miss game was a stain. Leguernic has had very limited action, but he doesn't seem like the answer. Clemson has had issues with a solid weekend rotation since I can remember. The portal has made that even harder. Hopefully Knaak shakes off his last 1 1/3 innings. Darden looked good, though he has been up and down. Hopefully we see some power this weekend. Go Tigers.
