He seemed to disappear from the field the last 3 or 4 games of the season.

He does give 110% but he lacks speed and it shows trying to cover sideline to sideline . His heart is all 5 star but we have to use him the correct way. He lacks closing speed and has trouble picking the right gap to fill at times . He is a liability in a 4-2-5 scheme because offensive coordinators use his lack of speed against him in 1 on 1 matchups with backs . He will do much better if we use a 4-3 scheme when he has speed on each side of him. Problem is we don’t have that 3rd LB right now ready to go. Really hoping Dabo fixes this with the portal

Agreed - as physical as he is, he tends to be in the wrong spot at the wrong time

A lot of times we will see people like Goodwin who are very intelligent, and very book smart and they will confuse most people when they try to explain to others bc some of the words they use are over most people's head and it causes a block when he uses words that most have never heard before, and that more often than not causes problems between the teacher and the student bc most want admit they don't know the meaning of some of the words they're using. I think that more times than not that why we see players that are out of place on the field during the game...
IMO Goodwin's IQ is overwhelming his players and creating a disconnect between Goodwin and the players he's trying his best to teach bc he don't know how dumb down what he's saying so that everybody understands what he is saying. In other words, I believe that Goodwin is to smart for his own good when it comes to teaching 18, 19, 20 year old young men, and that's probably true with some of his assistants also. Maybe he should take a course on teaching younger minds bc for a man that's as smart as he is, what he's doing isn't working!!!

Wow, it’s almost as if you were there to witness this, making it fact, or is it just an assumption or theory?
Assumptions and severe run-on sentences, laced with repetition are about par for your course.

He’s not ready anyway. If Ben Boulware didn’t make it and he was an absolute dawg on the field, I’m not sure of this kid would. You could not have told me that Boulware or Skalski wouldn’t get drafted.

Woodaz has been outstanding and it's great that he is returning. I hope his younger brother can make some strides this year and follow in Wade's footsteps.

Isn’t this our LB that couldn’t tackle Lanorris Sellers on 3rd and 16?

Clemson had problems tackling Jeff Grantz in 1975, but ot was a fluke. Let's wait and see if Sellers is a one hit wonder. It would not surprise me to see him struggle next year.

It looked to me like the entire defense couldn't tackle anyone, maybe they spend too much time in helmets and shorts. You play what you practice.

Great news! Use the off-season to get tougher, more physical, faster, and learn to plug running holes like Boulware and Skalski did.

I am glad he is returning but he needs to learn how to be in the correct position on the field especially in stopping tge run.

Wade flashes but lacks the athletic measurables to be a great college LB IMO. Most of the better RB's, even in the ACC, are going to have the advantage there. I hate to go negative on any of our players but the hype placed on this kid by our fans is way over the top. Hopefully he takes a big step and levels up but I just don't see it.

IMHO…..he has the skill set needed to fill this position…..size, strength, agility, toughness, IQ, speed, and the “want to”…..what he is lacking is a DC that can teach correct tackling techniques, correct angles, shrugging off blocks, gap filling and getting the correct defensive call on the field before the #### ball is snapped…….🤬 I’m glad he’s back……don’t know if what we have in the barn is good enough for a 3rd starting backer…..may have to pull one from the portal. Go Tigers….work hard Wade!!!!! 🏈🏈🏈🏈 !!!!!
