He was depth and good in spurts but for whatever reason usually had less than 20 snaps per game. Very situational. Good luck and congratulations on that degree.

Seems like he was playing his best at the end of the season too! A definite “functional depth” guy that we could use next year. He is good enough to start at a P4 program!

I thought he was already gone anyway. It's time for guys like Burley and Greem to step up now, still hoping Capehart comes back one more year. Him and Woods in the middle would be great with the added help and size of Heldt out there now

I was looking forward to tre Williams returning much more than capehart. Williams is active and moves well. Can even pressure the QB some. He just stays banged up. Cape does too though and is only decent against the run

When Capehart is healthy he is the most dominant lineman we have even Woods. Just go look at his highlight plays as he literally destroys OLmen. He got a legal chop block to his knee against UL or he would have been drafted pretty high this year.

I think Green is the wildcard here. In his limited playing time he seemed to be in the mix constantly. Has a nose for the ball and sometimes unblockable. Hoping Burley can stay injury free and takes a big step forward.

He is a rs jr and will most likely be a starter or co-starter alongside woods. Portal is also closed for him and can’t see him wanting to start over somewhere else for one season. Also can’t see him declaring for draft without another yr

Depth is always a good thing in football. However, it sometimes makes coaches less inclined to develop their young players. Now that development is going to be essential for next season and the young guys will be getting more reps in practice to get ready to step up!

Hate to see him leaving, I really appreciated his freshmen year our Dline was banged up and he continued to play through multiple injuries. Congrats to Tre on getting his degree and best wishes! Thanks for all you did and playing through the pain.

Williams seems like a great young man but I'd rather see guys like Burley, Green and Adam's get the reps. Plus Williams was a guy the was always getting injured. While definitely a guy that could play I don't know his impact would be greater of that of one of the yougins.

If the conversation was positive between he and Dabo, he could test the market and still return. As a grad student, Dabo has always been ok with grad players to transfer for better opportunities. Used to be only for playing time, but with NIL its financial as well these days.

This may indicate a Capehart return. We need DE depth and a run stuffing LB from the portal so this gets us closer to freeing up a spot. Burley and Green should be more than ready to absorb his snaps

1. He's a graduate, so he can transfer anytime, not just during portal.
2. I assume he was expecting, or was told, Clemson will bring at least one more DE in in the next month.
And, a 3rd comment. I have no doubt he has already been contacted by FSU. Noles are in desperate need for DL, especially those who can set the edge.

Burley has a balky knee and (I think I remember this correctly) will have a procedure on that knee soon to ‘finish cleaning things up.’
Not sure how much PT can be expected of Burley this coming season, but hopefully he can provide some quality snaps as a key part of our D-line’s depth.

Tre Williams played well and was a valuable cog in our D-line rotation. He was injured a lot.
His defensive coaches didn’t cause his injuries.

UGA humiliated the Tigers in the first game of the year, pounding Clemson 34-3. It was a game that from the very first play everyone who understands football knew Clemson had ZERO chance of winning.. We were overmatched at almost every single position. Their kicker was better their punter was better their QB and RB’s and WR’s all better and their offensive line and defensive lines as a whole were just better. They man handled Clemson. Our coach swears our talent level is there and that we don’t need transfers? Fast forward to last night. ND beat UGA. Yes UGA didn’t have their starting QB but it was transfers that won the game. A duke transfer strip sacks the QB and ND recovers the fumble at the IGA 12. A transfer QB (who also won MVP) throws a TD pass to another Transfer (from Clemson) a transfer returns the opening kick off 98 yards for ND’s second TD and a transfer kicker kicked two clutch field goals! Wow who would’ve thought that transfers help a team more than hurt them?? We lost to Texas because our defensive coordinator was horrid. He never should’ve been hired but he was our coaches buddy. Our coaches don’t ever make in game adjustments. Our offensive line couldn’t block and we didn’t have one single running back who was scary? Forget scary didn’t have one that could make a man miss or gain more than two yards. How does Boise state recruit better talent than Clemson at RB. We have no studs in the roster and as fans we expect them to magically appear? Last night showed once again that Dabo’s way is a failure and we deserve more
