He's probably gone is my gut feeling. Portal or NFL.

Then you know absolutely nothing about our Quarterback.
He will either declare or return to Clemson. My money is on a return since his NIL just went way up.

Imagine Kiffin has one of his Ole Miss boosters offer him a 7 figure NIL deal if he enters the portal. That would be hard to turn down even for a guy like Cade.
Btw I've been a huge Cade supporter since Clemson started recruiting him. So yes I agree he's made of the right stuff but at a certain point you have to think about your future and if he can make a million before going pro and improve his stock he'd have to consider it. Look at his body language when answering that question.

Flirt with NFL talk to get more NIL from Clemson. He deserves a comparable deal in the college world although I still hate the new landscape. We gotta play the game!

Agree. Cade won't transfer. He loves Clemson, his family loves Clemson, he's always loved and wanted to play for Dabo. He's Dabo's mini me... he ain't going anywhere. Will he get more nil, sure, but it's not a factor in what he does. As stated below, deep qb draft. He'll be smart and maybe even try a combine to see if he could get a first round draft. His stock skyrocketing after acc championship game and today.
He's coming back and why not. He can win us a championship. He might weigh decisions made in off-season that could make him think. I'd wager 90-10 he's back to at least get to semi-finals.

This seems like a very naive take. My parents and grandparents grew up as huge Clemson fans. I grew up as a Clemson fan and went to Clemson. I went there and loved my time there. If I was choosing between it and another school, and that other school offered me millions more, I wouldn't hesitate to go there. It would be irresponsible to do otherwise, and anyone judging kids for following money and championships clearly has no conception of what that kind of money can do for your family. I guarantee you NIL will be a factor to him.
That said, I think we open the pocket book for him. We don't use our NIL money on recruiting or the portal. I can't think of a player we need to retain more. If he gets a first round grade in the draft, then yeah, I think he might leave. But I don't see him transferring because I think we'll match any offer he gets elsewhere.
That said, I don't see how you're so confident that we will be significantly improved next year. We're returning a lot of starters, but losing even more depth. And I think the gap between us and the very best teams in the playoffs is pretty wide (because Texas is not one of them).

I think he should stay but 36 TDs and only 6 INTs with 3600 yds passing and nearly 500 yds rushing would be hard to improve on.
If he leaves, I really don’t think CV is the guy.

I surely hope you're right about him coming back, but dodging the question kind of makes me feel that he is NFL bound bc he showed out today, and he showed the NFL folks who may have been looking that he has the Moxy to succeed in the NFL, In My Opinion...

This is a really really bad qb class. Shedeur and Cam the only 2 guys that are 1st round grades. Teams will over draft.
If none of the other junior QBs enter this draft on a high note Cade will 100% be drafted.

I think they have said ND Leanard, Indiana Rourke, Ore Gabrielle, Bama Milroe, maybe Ewers, Vandy Pavia all could anounce after Bowls. I am sure I am missing someone, I don't know about Boise, BYU and ASU guys. QB draft could get deeper.

Cade is NOT an NFL QB. He’s too short. Look at number of passes he gets tipped or batted down at the line of scrimmage. Plus, he’s too scrawny and doesn’t really have the frame to beef up. But, he’s a great college QB. He’ll return next year and take us back to the playoffs.

Lol absolutely not. I have been a staunch believer in Cade. Even last year. I still don't think he's hit his ceiling either. I think this fan base has been overly critical of Cade and Dabo has been quick to run Cade over something I've never seen before. All I'm saying is other teams are going to see this kid as loaded with talent and the NFL will give him a shot no doubt.

I'm pretty sure that the NFL saw what the kid was made of in the second half of the game. I truly hope that he's back next season, but if he's dodging the question he could be giving serious thought about the NFL. Do anyone know his family background on whether he came from the poor side of the tracks, or does his family side on success. If his family has been successful, he may be back, or Dabo could allow him a raise with his pay...
IMO, Cade showed out the second half, and that is the Cade I hope to see back at Clemson next season. If Dabo shows Goodwin the door, with Cade as QB with more experienced OL and receiving room, we could make a lot of noise in the playoffs next season I do believe!!!

He comes from a well off family from what I understand.
He's probably QB 3 or 4 in this class, it's all a matter if he feels he's being developed and if he thinks he could be drafted early rounds 1-3 imo.
I truly hope he stays bc this team could have a special offense next year if he does. If he leaves i can see it set off a domino effect of transfers too tbh.

Pending big increase to CK2 NIK deal will bring a partial ROI to donors.
1

|
We all get to make our guess here in TNet, so here goes.
Clemson will max out in NIL at the ~ $5M ballpark to retain Klubnik. I think he stays with us at the ~ $4M NIL number.
ROI from the enhanced NIL deal to CK2 has genuine potential to create a genuine payback to those who ‘invest’ in the revised CK2 NIL payment.
The CK2 NIL deal will be atypical relative to the majority of NIL players. The CK2 NIL will have genuine ROI because the CK2 name, image, and likeness has legitimate advertising / brand-building value. Before yesterday, he was widely known in the Carolinas. With yesterday’s big splash in front of a large Texas audience who knows that CK2 is a State of Texas native, I believe that his ‘brand’ appeal has meaningfully expanded to include the huge TX market.
Therefore, the pending enhancement to CK2’s NIL deal will not be only a donor syndicate’s gift to Clemson University and our athletic department. A chunk of that NIL expenditure will yield some degree of money being returned to those donors who have businesses involving goods & / or services which are targeted directly to general public consumers.
Thus, selected donors to Clemson athletics can to contribute to a record (for Clemson) NIL deal for CK2 and get an actual ROI (return on investment) that will allow them to get some of that NIL money returned via growth in sales for their businesses.

It sounds like you think of him as a young kid with nothing to gain by leaving. This is a man. A young businessman. He’s had more guidance and options placed before him than anyone else on that team - on most teams. As any wise businessman with expert leaders in his ear will do, Cade will make his FIRST priority his career. Not Clemson. That would be foolish and it’s not even in his thought process.
If his upside is to remain, he will. If his upside is somewhere else, he’ll leave. Simple as that.
So stop stating with certainty what he will or should do. Only Cade knows what’s best for him. You and other fans look at everyone through the lens of “what’s best for Clemson.” Players don’t do that.
Now, if he chooses to stay because that’s what’s best for him, he can then turn the narrative around to “I wanted to come back for this team, my brothers, to win a championship.” But that will NOT be why he returns. That’s just proper spin.
It’s called business folks. To a player like Cade, it’s not just a game.

If Vizzina is the plan moving forward without Cade, I would beg Cade to stay. If Dabo is willing to open up the process and look at portal QBs, I'd like to see what he comes up with and Cade leaving wouldn't sting as much
But I'm telling you now, Vizzina ain't it

You’re wrong.
Vizzina is developing nicely. He’s more athletic than most of us had thought of him when we were recruiting him. His arm strength and accuracy are obvious.
What Vizzina needs is a combination of more practice sessions and in-game experience.
Next year, assuming CK2 returns, Clemson should put a true beat down on several more teams during 2025 season than we were able to beat down this past season. Not just winning big, but building up big leads by the end of the 3rd Qtr. This will result in many more snaps for Vizzina next year; his improvement will be readily seen during next year and Clemson will still win a pile of games in the process.
Again, this projection (great season + Vizzina development) is predicated on CK2’s return to Clemson.

He has developed into a good QB and will be even better next year. If he leaves, we will probably only win 6-7 games next year, and it will signal the complete and total end to this era of Clemson football and NCAA football as a whole. If he transfers, I will completely stop watching football all together as this will be the final straw for me.

Haha, he’s just become a top 10 QB tonight, and he didn’t win…. Sure, the DC cost him the win, but he’s struggled in big games multiple times this year (SC, etc)…. But it took him awhile to gain his confidence, so he should be applauded! Now, he needs to prove he’s elite by beating GOOD teams next year and then the sky’s the limit…

Where is he going? If you tell me he's going in the portal because someone is going to give him a better NIL deal....that i can find somewhat believable...but please don't say NFL. He's at best a 5th to 7th round pick or a free agent. So for next season let's not engage in this idiotic Heisman talk.

So c'mon why would he leave? Some of you just like to look for problems. He had a great year but the NFL wants to see if you can do it AGAIN and when it is expected of you. He has a chance to do that and go in an early round where he does NOT have that as a possibility if he leaves now - and then there's that Heisman thing.. NIL - where he is going to go the more than he has here. We are a top ten NIL team already - do you really think Texas (number 1 in NIL money) is going to dump Arch for Cade?? There is no upside for him to leave so why even ask the question to all of this??? He will do what he is going to do and its really his business. My money says he will be back and Wesco and Moore will be spending a lot of time in the endzone next year.

If coaching changes are not made, I think Cade may transfer. I'm sure he sees team's that could give him a better supporting cast than what he has at Clemson. In both players and coaches.

Coaching changes involving Garrett Riley would represent an elevated risk that CK2 might leave.
If some catastrophe such as Dabo calling it quits were to happen, then I’d bet that CK2 cashes in his college chips and rolls the dice on the NFL. Maybe a transfer to a place like Texas A&M or Auburn might happen if Dabo decides no mas.
I very much doubt that either happens.

Declaring for the draft is a lot more appealing now than before the season. He had a great season. Beck has to have Tommy John. Ewers looked shaky in a number of games. Other than Sanders and Ward, who is a lock to get drafted ahead of him? Can’t be many. This is a new world where kids no longer have to turn down millions as a third rounder to stay in College. Pro teams will start promising they will draft a kid a round or two higher than their grade if they leave school. It will start with this years draft.

Meh, he isn't NFL ready yet.

He's still isn't confident in throwing to crossing routes. He can drill a stationary player and his judgement for distance is most perfect when a receiver is moving away from him with little angle to judge.
He's probably go pretty high in the draft but another year would make him a first rounder for sure.
It's his life, his choice and his burden. I'm not worried about it.
