For me it's not Wes's knowledge of the game, and when you know that Wes was Brent Venable top choice of coaches to pluck from Dabo's coaching tree, that lets us know that he has the knowledge that it takes to coach the game and run the defense. My thing with Wes is that he doesn't have the fire that it takes to get his guys fired up when he really needs a stop the way that BV could bring that extra kick from his guys. BV was wired right for being explosive in practice and on the sidelines and it was easy for him to pull extra from his players when he needed it from them. Wes Goodwin wasn't blessed with the same explosiveness as Brent Venables is!!!!
