Lou game was not a bad day at the office. It was not showing up at the office. We got late courtesy point to make the final look respectable but were solidly beaten

Agree - And there seems to be a trend of our defense (and offense) playing poorly following a bye week. Recall the Miami game last year. I have no idea what bye week protocol is, but that's a problem which needs to be corrected by the coaches. Our guys were simply not mentally prepared to play against Louisville.

Goodwin or Dabo would never admit it but, Sammy probably could have started and done a great job from the second game on, and he would have been unstoppable by the time we played Louisville. As we know and have seen during Dabo's time as our HC, freshman will not start over a player that played a position the year before regardless of how talented or how good that freshman was when he signed with Clemson!!!

Well, I know it's not a popular opinion because it doesn't fit this narrative above. Yes, Sammy had a good game. Yes Hampton had a once in a lifetime interception. That said, VT running back went out injured early. Drones was not healthy and several fans told me b4 the game they kinda hoped Drones wouldn't start. VT really abandoned the run. Not hard for any D to have great numbers when said team only hands the ball off 5 times total.
Yes, we made a gimpy qb look bad at times but Drones had some wide open receivers that were probably TD s. He missed the throw bad. Hampton int was supposed to be an inside route but Drones threw it behind and down the sidelines.
Plus, if you go back and watch the game, it reminded me of Kelly Bryant's game against Bama, we started a lot of drives in bad field position. Same happened with va tech. So yes, while we made some nice defensive plays, va tech didn't do themselves any favors.

Truth Clemgal but most fans and the Clemson media want to think it’s some kind of comeback, gritty statement game. This Va Tech team lost to Rutgers and Vandy and Clemson was completely flat in the first half. This has been this same song and dance for the past 4 seasons. While the offense is better, now the defense is lacking. It’s nothing like the elite dogs that it used to be.

That's because we don't have the elite players like we did on the past. It's no more complicated than that.

VT had 5 or 6 dropped balls that would have gone a long way!! VT actually was having a bad day.

VT receivers were wide open more than not. I think they had bad night as much as us having good night. Couple of observations about Wes’s D, awful tackling fundamentals and not as much gang tackling as in years past. Put another way, how many of you guys hold your breath on 3rd down even if Clemson has other team 3rd and long?

I mean, look at the picture. I’d like a DC who has competed at a high level.

Brown was flying ALL OVER the field in the spring game so I really don't see why he's only now getting more snaps. If I don't see us run another screen for 10 years I'd be tickled pink. Did Riley run this many screens before Clemson or is it a Dabo's call deal? They rarely rarely work for anything but negative yards. I hate the NIL/free agency rules as much as the next but the experiment for us is over ! We've fallen off drastically compared to the competition. Here let's put it in perspective. Before the Deion days in Colorado we were national champions and now with him using the portal we very much might be matching up against them in a bowl game. Colorado up ..... Clemson down. Pretty obvious !! I absolutely love Dabo for making his stand but college football players don't care about the college part anymore. They want Lambo's and bimbos now and we can't change that. There aren't enough good kids that can ball out to be successful.

Stop acting like the spring game is indicative of regular season success.

Swag is for Chad Kelly. What Clemson needs is more violence, aggression, and pain for opposing teams.
