So after 3/4 years Dabo is still wanting a commitment from him to keeping his body right…. That’s not good. The kid obviously lacks work ethic which is why he’s been passed up since he got here

I'd love to see you say that to Ryan's face.......but you hide behind your keyboard.

I like your posts, I like your support for Tigers, and I like your town as a Savannah citizen (any good Ridgeland real estate available?), but I do not understand comments like this Ridgeland Booster® ...
Do you think Linthicum is going to beat up a Clemson fan for calling him a "fat boy" especially when Dabo just purposefully and measuredly called him out publicly as an undisciplined eater.
My take is Linthicum (or Sewell) could improve the level of play at Center which has been rated pretty poorly by PFF O-Line Ratings for at least the past four years. Optimistic overall O-Line play will improve in 2024, and Center obviously is a big part of that. The hard part is with UGA looming in Game 1, will Dabo and coaches stick with their tendency to go with upperclass vets as Game 1 starters regardless of talent level? We'll see.
Give 'em #### Ridgeland. Go Tigers!

It's not actually my town, but my grandmother's town....but I digress. I just think so-called "fans" who disrespect our players should either be a) banned or b) called out.
Do I think Ryan would waste his time with a fat, loser middle-aged keyboard warrior? Of course not.
Oh, and I enjoy Savannah I really like the Plant City development on River St. Very, very nice.

1. No I wouldn’t. It would be unnecessary and unwarranted
2. If Ryan said hey Charlie am I fat? I would say yes Ryan you are
3. I am not small. I like my chances

I just can't agree with statement, and that is bc there are millions of people just in Ameria that suffer with everything they put into their mouth turns into instant fat. Those people have a constant struggle with maintaining a proper weight and keeping those extra pounds off. Every body's metabolism doesn't work the same and those that struggle daily with their weight, it's usually a lifetime struggle that has never been easy and if it was, we wouldn't ever see overweight people. In my 71 years of life, I have never seen an overweight person that was proud of being overweight, in fact most of them try to hide it by wearing oversized loose-fitting cloths, and it's people like you that makes them ashamed of the disorder they were born with...

Check out Lizzo. And the new Miss Alabama. They super proud of it.
Your white knighting is not necessary. Linthicum could be a beast, but he's just obese. He has a chance to really help us get back to championship level. Two months, big fella. Do it for the Paw.

Let's see how Ryan does this year. If he's the best we have then play him... if not play someone else. I hope he has a successful season for the Tigers.

Over the years, I've always wondered where Linthicum "got off track" or to what degree even. He was highly touted when Caldwell brought him in, and there has obviously been turnover there twice now. Easily Matt Luke is his best and final chance to move out of 'developmental' status to 'impact-player' status.
I think the two big questions are 1.) Does this kid want it? and 2.) Has Luke had enough time and opportunity to perhaps coach-out bad habits from previous regimes. I think question #1 is probably the key.
Regardless, 100% echoing your comment we have to start the best players at each position. I'm confident Dabo can make a tough call to sit a seasoned upper-classmen if the input/output, competence and ability are not there in favor of a younger teammate. Next man up.

He may have never got off track. Some places had him a 3 star and not a top 300 player. He was never really a top 100 player. I don't think he ever got off track.

training table buffet bills. He just doesn't seem to get it. He obviously just wants to enjoy the college lifestyle, and has no aspirations whatever of going on with football. If he did, by this stage, nobody would have to be telling him to get his body right. Frankly, I am surprised his own peers have not shamed him into doing so.

Hard to say being an outsider, but I have thought the same thing. Kid's got it good.
Hopefully he will realize his potential and rise to the occasion. If not he's not going to like paying those buffet bills in the real world. I'm cautiously optimistic, maybe he's just taken a bit longer to mature and see the opportunity in front of him.

Still waiting on Linthicum and the rest of this OLine to get pissed and physical in the trenches and not get pushed around. It’s now or never on August 31.

A dose of what they showed against ND would be nice against Ga. I'm sure Mahfah would like this as well

passed up two seasons ago for the starting gig, especially a position with only one slot open at a time. It just takes longer for some to get it all together. Entering his fourth year here hopeful that with new leadership over his position and having the moment at hand will propel him to reach his full capabilities. Glad he's shown the fortitude at least to hang in there and go the distance. That itself says a lot about a kid this day and age.
Go Tigers! Go Ryan!
