Good call.
We had Trevor Lawrence (+ Tee Higgins + Amari Rogers + Travis Etienne + ...) in our system and struggled to produce offense against LSU and Ohio State due to our inability to reproduce Jeff Scott's explosive offense. Clemson was really suppose to score against those teams and they did not.
I think that Brandon Streeter has 4 games to prove himself. If he can't, he has to go. I think CJ Spiller has 4 games to prove himself. If he can't, he hast to go. I think Richardson and SC HS football experience will be amazing. We do play good football in South Carolina.

“ Jeff Scott's explosive…” TE always called the plays you dumb coot.
“ I think that Brandon Streeter has 4 games to prove himself. If he can't, he has to go.” If this is you thinking I’d love to hear your thoughts on what Clemson does to your chickens in DV this year… No mayo, just going in dry.
“I think CJ Spiller has 4 games to prove himself. If he can't, he has to go…” “Oh man, which two of our three backs will have their second TD against your coots in the second quarter” is all CJ is thinking about. Dabo agrees.
“ I think Richardson and SC HS football experience will be amazing. We do play good football in South Carolina.” I’d ignore his NFL experience too if I was a coot.
You Cola cats are the best for comedy, I’ll give you that.

Wow. That’s a knee jerk reaction. A first year coordinator has four games?! Instant gratification must be your middle name. I get results are expected. I’m right there with you. I wanted Joe Brady. We got Streeter. Who IS a proven OC. His numbers speak for themselves. CJ has done a GREAT job with the RB room. The growth of our backs under him has been great. Sure, we lost some backs. That’s what happens when you recruit at a high level. Lyn-J couldn’t get out of his own way. Did Dabo give Elliott 4 games?! He should have. The genius in playcalling left with Scott and we suffered through a 10 win season the hard way. His reward? Head coach at UVA. Just a reality check in your four game expectations.

I have an opinion just like you. The difference is, mine is to be more patient. I don't see how we can dump a coach after four games. Then we have to completely start over. I'm not sure that would be a good idea.

i hope all of what he said will help our WR's create separation. it seemed when DJ was actually able to get a pass off, the WR was completely covered up.

I believe good health and depth will make a huge difference in this area for the upcoming season. We really were short handed last year due to injuries. Plus there are several guys with a little more experience from the hard knocks they endured last year.

Offense is not about how big the playbook it is but is about blocking, recognizing, running, catching and throwing well. I agree about the locked in because if you watch the whole field, we have receivers running routes and then just stopping and the defense knows the play within a few yards. Every coach in the country steals plays from other teams and I hope Street and Richardson have stolen some pass routes with more motion and crossing routes. Perfect example, watch Alabama.

pre-snap movement by players, causing the defense to either be out of position, or looking in the wrong place when the ball was snapped. We have gradually gotten away from that, and it is something we should put back INTO the offense. I am reminded of a line from an old Doors song:
"Variety, is the Spice of Life, yeah, That's what the Judge is gonna tell my Wife..."
Don't know about that, but variety in a college football offense IS a good thing.

I am glad to hear this, but I am a little concerned because that means another read for the QB. Seems like it could lead to more interceptions. I am confident the coaches know what they are doing and can work it out. Looking forward to a great season.

I've been waiting for this post. I agree with you. QB will need time(offensive line) and patience if the the receivers break their routes. But I'm sure our coach's have thought of that as well.

It seemed like DJ and the receivers were not on the same page a lot last year when there were't optional routes. I'm not sure adding more places to miss is simplifying the offense. It sounds like it is making it more complicated and counting on two players to both make the right read instead of just one.

Love the viewpoint and the changes sound good. DJ and the receivers will need to be able to communicate at the line in order to execute these options, otherwise it will lead to some bad looking plays and possible interceptions.

Good idea. I'm reminded of what a coach said about going to a Vince Lombardi clinic. He said it was a 4 hour clinic and he only went over one play. But he went over every aspect of that play real and imagined.

I really miss using the snap count. To have the O line knowing when the ball is to be snapped ,instead of a hand clap. The defence can react the same as the line . Give the O line this opportunity to fire of the line a split second sooner. Go Tigers!

Healthier than 2021, and after being 84th in points and 99th in total yardage last season, only one way to go and that's up.

"post-snap adjustments"
That's where I thought DJU lagged. His decision-making process in RPO calls is not very good, nor his is progression.
We got better last year, it seemed, when we moved away from RPO in favor of more called runs and called plays.
I really hope DJU has figured it out, but I also figure mental problems don't go away like that. So maybe post-snap adjustments is not the best way to go?

I find it difficult to believe that the WRs in a spread O are going to the line with only 1 route responsibility w/o recognition of man or zone coverage, just not buying that, maybe it was hyperbole-
