Exactly what I'm thinking. Is Dabo just saying this to make sure neither loses their confidence, or are both of them inconsistent? One or the other has to be much better than what we saw last year.

Uh, Gunn was always spot on in practices last year, then collapsed in games. Now it appears he can't distance himself in practice either. Looks like we're in store for another year of a lackluster kicking game.

I'm more concerned with gaining field position on both sides of the ball. This means a kick receiving team that can return punts and kick offs that puts the offense in a better position to score on each drive. This also includes a punt and kicking team that can pin opponents deep for Clemson's hungry defense that wants to be able to pin their ears back and wreak havoc.

Dabo decided a long time ago he doesn’t want more than 5-10 yards in punt returns as long as we catch it. Never rushes the kicker (other than early last year when we blocked a kick and didn’t rush anybody later in the year) which leads to punters having career days against us. Kickoff returns depend entirely on how deep the other guy kicks it and the wind.

Do we know that the FG kickers are not performing well in practice? I didn't hear Dabo say that. You guys are assuming the worst. I'll wait and see. Or wait and hear/read .
And if we score TDs, we might not need a FG kicker
