WIN Baby & cross ya fingers & toes!

Doesn’t look promising with 5 teams ahead with only 2 weeks to go but hey, who knows.

He indicated that Clemson had a significant lose against UGA.

I wonder if they consider the loss that Texas had to UGA to be significant too.

Nah, their losses just mean less.

just like ref reviews...televise the committee as they deliberate. That'll take the mystery out of the system. LOL

They'll jump us with their dominant win over Wofford 63-14 while we struggle with Citadel to squeak out a win 56-21 after being up 42-0. It just means more.

That situation makes things better for Clemson tbh. If SCAR can come in ranked say 11-13 and Clemson knocks them off that would be an instant resume boost that is sorely needed.

Cute that you think a team could jump 5 to 7 spots with a Wofford win. We’d have to see the most epic fail among top 20 teams all time to even get close to that.

And people thumbed that up. 15-17 is realistic. 11-13 is nuts.

Pretty sure that means with losses by other teams in the Top 12

Just beating the gamecocks is all I care about..
If win by 1 or 30 doesn’t matter. Just WIN!
All the other stuff is just word salad.

Yes nothing I am less interested in than where we rank related to SC. They can be 1 or 31, it doesn't matter, we have to beat them to stay in the hunt.
Then cross your fingers the other games break our way, as said above. Nothing bigger than a Mia loss to Cuse, which is probably our only realistic pathway.
The real problem is the size of these new conferences where in some cases teams are playing only half of the other members and schedules are so unbalanced. Compare Georgia and Texas for example. Look at the totally screwed up ACC where the top 3 teams don't play each other.
Now I understand we made our own bed by pooping in it agaibst Louisville but still comparing records against common teams is not a good way to select a champion.

Especially with a sample size of 2. When you played all of teams in your division it at least seemed to be fair.

I kept hoping the CFP would align into the 5 major conferences of two 8 team divisions and take the 10 division winners(no championship game), 1 G5 champ and 5 more top tanked teams for a 16 team playoff. The divisions in each conference would be rebalanced every 3-4 years to keep them competitive.

But I guess that limits the eSECpn and B1GpreTENd to only about 3 teams each.

This answer by the Playoff Chair shows how truly subjective their rankings are.

I said after the Louisville loss that we are not playoff worthy. After a couple gutsy road wins with a less-than-healthy roster we’re back in the hunt.

If Miami loses to Syracuse, which is not so far fetched, we can play our way in no matter what happens next week. Some ACC tie-breaker scenarios also exist.

But I truly believe that having Scar right there with us in the rankings helps our cause as an at large selection, particularly if Cade comes through as the chicken slayer. Think about it: normally the final game is a drag on our SOS. I would love nothing more than to springboard off their heads and into the CFP.

GO TIGERS!!!

We ALL (players, fans, and coaches) remember the year the caulks kept us OUT of the 4 team playoffs….

Coaching kept us out. Not the cawks

I think word salad was the most apt critique of this statement.
